Falcons are committing to a 3-4 in base and he could easily put his hand in the dirt in nickel to be an every down player. Latu played for newly minted DC Jimmy Lake at Washington when his injury occurred and Lake broke that bad news to the team. Lake didn’t have the most ceremonious departure from UW but if there’s no bad blood there I could definitely go for a reunion in ATL. Him and AK would be nice complementary rushers and might solve our never-ending pass rush problem.

My Impressions...
1) definitely not 265 (maybe 250).
2) the ease of his sheds, bend, and polish as a pass rusher remind me of von miller
3) his motor is not super high like nick bosa's, but its still high enough for Sundays
4) playmaker/ game wrecker (he requires scheme attention to stop)
5) his high football IQ and film study shows
6) knows where the qb is going to be, not just where he is
7) his first step is quick, but not elite
8) strong against the run
9) very long arms
*final thoughts: he'll be a 7-10 sack guy year 1 and has athletic upside to be a contender for sack leader if he lands on the right team. He will be looked back upon as a guy that should've been drafted top 5 instead of top 10 or low teens, but the flurry of reaches at QB early will force him to drop.
