Hey! I’m in the video, game 3 😄 nice to see it from your perspective. Got some stuff to learn from it. Should have farmed more energy on my Stunfisk before rock sliding the Dnite, and I was hoping to reach another Ice punch on Medi on Altaria, but will switch next time. I actually reached the shadow ball in the end, but died as I tapped it. Thanks for the input in the video!
If you don't bait the first time in that stunfisk mirror, then you need to probably bait the second. If you're using shields, then they'll be more comfortable using their own shields to try and win the matchup. It's definitely a mind game at higher elos. Making a bait can easily win those matchups. Since they had cmp advantage, they automatically outpace you, so baiting and catching are the only answers you have to that.
The double dragon team I am using is shadow dragonite zweilous and alolan marowak, doing pretty good even against Azumaril /gfisk/bastidion with right energy management
I tried a similar team from jonkus, registeel in the lead instead of gfisk. I will try it this way! I jist made my shadow dragonite so im still getting used to how it plays.
I’ve been using my 2016 poliwhirl & beedrill , and my 2022 togadamaru and so far this season I’ve done about 105 matches with about 60 wins from that team. In great league of course , but gotta say.. super surprised how well I’ve done with them. Had a win streak of 8 at one point and have had many 6 or 7 streaks too , now I’ve gotten abit higher there’s tougher opponents, people with more thought out strategies than my last matches.. but still , there proving useful even now . Even when there 200 or 300cp under the 1500 mark. Been seeing soooo many water types which has helped out too.
I ran a similar team last season but with Thunderfang Steelix instead, I think it was for the Azu Matchup lol, I beat it in 0 shields straight Psychic Fangs if they don’t have pump
I've been running Altaria so much ever since I started playing roughly 6 months ago. Swablus used to spawn everywhere around my place during the summer and it's by far my most favorite dragon type. I used to run Nidoqueen, Medicham and Altaria when I first tried out pvp in this game. Now I'm messing around with Lanturn, Altaria and all kinds of counter users that can handle stuff like Gfisk and Abomasnow and Froslass. Might be swapping my Altaria for the first time and try out wing attack Rizard 👀
It isn't if you aren't overly concerned with it. Most people bait with shields up but don't have the guts to no-shield, more often than not. I've taken advantage of that fact many times.
@@thebottman1 Right, but if you no shield and get hit with an EQ- feels bad man. Rest of the match is basically a handi-cap with them having a near full health Gfisk (albiet down 1 shield but they will almost always get that shield back).
@@TyTimeIsAwesome Then you aggro swap and take your chances. Not that I run G-Fisk these days, but when/if I do, I win more of those mirrors than I lose, I can tell you that much.
@@thebottman1 Aggro swapping is not a bad move depending on who your switch is. I've done that too. I ran Gfisk lead so much I pretty much have played out every scenerio possible. I've tried double shielding, single shielding, no shielding, baiting, double baiting, no baiting, catching the EQ, immediate swapping, etc. In the end, there's really no right way to play it IMO. But I will at least agree that if you know your team well then yeah no shielding isn't a bad scenario, depending on your backline. Let's say you have Trev/Medi back line- a shield advantage would be amazing.
I'm floating around 2300 ELO with 1100 battles under my belt on the season. I've seen so many Froslass and Bastiodon and Lanturn that this team would never work. Looks fun, but idk bro. Just doesn't look like it would hold up well.
I hate the Stunfisk mirror match up for the same reason - I have the exact same thing happen to me! The amount of times I've decided to call the bait and be wrong, or decide to bait and be called out...The worst mirror match up out there 🤣
Lol had to delete my previous post because I'm a conspiracy theorist with this game. I went from winning 65% of my battles out of 40 battles with a certain team that's no longer posted, to today only winning 40% of my battles out of 25 after i commented my team and how much fun i had yesterday lol. I saw SSSSOOO much charm today... it was insane. But i didn't see a single one yesterday. But still wanted to show love, so here's a comment for the algorithm ;)
I did see a lot of ice out there today lol. When you are as popular as Zyonik, watching these videos really helps you figure out the flavor of the day. I mix it up with FPSticks and PogoKieng. But I do love some Zyonik. He made a team a few years ago Umb, Talonflame, Clefable. It absolutely shredded. Sad Clefable is not very great these days since I finally have the XL for a level 50 Ultra League Clefable.
This team sucked, I used it just like he did dragonite can’t get hit by any move it’s a 1 shot kill idk how he made this work but just not happening rite now Altria takes so long to build any move
Running anything fun? I've been running into a lot of Lanturn, Medicham, Froslass, Bastiodon, and Swampert at 2300. I like Azu safe swap with the meta. But it's hit or miss. Sometimes, it's just all hard counters.
@@travisbaez8430 i'm running a cheap but effective team A9/Swampert/Trevenant cost me around 300k but was worth it (I reached veteran with Noctowl/Lanturn/Medicham)
@ShinxTheLion I'm guessing Swampboi is your safe swap? Seems like a solid team with a lot of good pressure. Charm on A9T, or...? I'm still looking to hit Veteran. I dont normally have this much trouble. Usually I float between Veteran and Expert, but ACE is still a lot of legends and people going back up after dropping. I've fought tons of legends and experts already. To say nothing of Veterans in the 2300 range.
Same bro. The good thing is, once it's built, you have it forever. It eventually evens itself out. But flyer meta cost me roughly 4 million dust this season and I only have 2300 ELO to show for it after 1100 battles so far. Masters is especially punishing, especially if you aren't a billionaire who bought your team, or you aren't using Defit. The number of level 50 Zarude I saw was just laughable.

It's okay Zyonik, Galarian Stunfisk mirror matches haunt me in my dreams at night, you're not alone.
Any team impresses me...when they work. GBL is too volatile, hit or miss, but I love it
My favorite one. Ultra and Master are boring af.
Yo thanks for showcasing this team today. Played it twice with my umbreon double charm team.
And this is why I still use Venusaur + Double Tank
I've been using pancake stunfisk as a good neutral counter to birds/galarian stunfisk. Those earthquakes hit different, man. Hate the mind games haha

Question: should I max level my hundo machamp, or shadow machamp with 14 13 13? Thank-you to ever helps with this
One thing is for sure, this team loves seeing Grasshole.
The double dragon team I am using is shadow dragonite zweilous and alolan marowak, doing pretty good even against Azumaril /gfisk/bastidion with right energy management
Same thing with my Gliscor lead. Whenever I go for the night slash they don't shield and Whenever I go for the earthquake they shield 🤣

What should be the safe swap if lead is a swampert S.Dragonite or Altaria??
Always Dragonite. Having superpower allows it to threaten typical counters.
Anti flyer double flyer line is probably the most common team ive seen thus far. Small sample size of 4 sets but still
My Azu/Altaria/Deoxys-defense team has been working wonders for me
azu is really good rn. it beats medi, altaria, and basti which are everywhere esp medi and basti
You won’t be dragon your feet when you see this team. I’ll show myself out.

Togekiss, Shadow Mewtwo, dragonite. How's this team for the master league?
That last game was so clean. Beautifully executed!
Thanks!
its good you haven't encounter an azumarill with this team
He probably did, just doesn't show it. :D
I played against this team a few times today. I think many trainers now refer UA-cam videos for tak building
This is also what I ran for most of my go battle day sets, I somehow actually managed to beat sableye/A9/Azu with this team lol
Galarian Weezing could kinda run through their shit like the Tomb Raider tbh😂😂
I saw this team a lot as I ranked up. Good team for sure.
