      Thank you so much, I had a French Jag built at the same time but I did not have the correct paint so she waits.

      Thank you so much, not one for being in front of the camera I had to find a way to make the builds a little more interesting.

    I spent seven years on Jaguar and worked on XX732. So I enjoyed your model , I especially think you have the gun port "red" spot on.
    This comment is aimed at the kit manufacturers. When on the ground the Jaguar spent most of its working life with the undercarriage doors open, the airbrakes open and the flaps down. it would be nice if the kit could be posed like that. The undercarriage doors were opened by the ground crew, for servicing before shutdown, the airbrakes had to be open for start up and refuelling, so were opened on shutdown, the flaps ended in the down position as part of the shutdown procedure, after landing.

      Thank you sir for your lovely comment and insight into the every day work carried out on this beautiful aircraft. In defence of the manufacturers and model makers, if kit manufacturers were to do this with every kit it would push up the price and make the building very difficult for people coming into the hobby to make these kits. The kit is very old now and not up to modern standards but still to be enjoyed by new model makers and classic old kit model makers alike. I work in a hospital and see so called procedures done on screen completely wrong, so I feel your pain. Thank you again for watching and I shall look out for a better Jaguar kit to build and show in the new year and put this right.

      As a model maker myself I have resisted making a Jaguar until now, I have just purchased the italeri jaguar T2. I am going to do it as either DY or DZ of 31 squadron at RAF Bruggen, on which I spent 3 years. I loved the T-bird, nothing like watching a two seat Jaguar doing a long slow landing with its nose high in the air.

    Lovely build, what thinning ratio do you use to airbrush?

    • @weekendmodeller2740
      @weekendmodeller2740  7 місяців тому

      Thank you, I do not measure out the paint in ratio's. I go with the milk theory, so once mixed and you tip the container to one side and back again the paint should run down the side with the consistency of milk in a glass. I f its to thick add more thinner and if it's to thin add more paint. Try it through the air brush to see if it spray's nice. It's a time and practice thing. Sorry it's not what you wanted to hear.

    Hi bud, , I'm not a fan of jets but, I am a big fan of your paint jobs. This is a nice variation of color. Well Done!!

      Got to admit I feel the same way, but it's nice to have some fun with paint on a jet that most likely never got this dirty.
