Josh Bressi Trust me when I say some of the frustration is upon themselves. Like "why didn't I swing at that?!" I've felt this way many times playing traveling league. Umpires have nothing to do with most of these.
That's What I Spew im not talking about the umpiers in this i mean other ones and i mean they should be able to get over it because they have 4 at bats unless they get taken out or they have more if tbe game gose longer and plus doing things like this can give you a bad reputation

MLB Breaking Bats.

yes those bats are expensive.
hifijohn yeah holy shit a Louisville ash wood bad is 10,000$!!!!
Pinkus Floydus 50$ average per bat not to bad
Angela Smith. that your opinion
Is that junior lake that played for the Tennessee smokies?
As childish as it may be, it's still immensely entertaining and impressive to see them do that.
Carl Whitted children can’t do that
Jon Bakken Your child can’t.
It's really not that hard to break a bat when ur mad u don't even feel it
@@Hxllywoodash bet you have never even touched a wood bat
It's worth the price of admission.
Really shows you the strength these guys have
Jake Herington and it shows how easly angerd some of these guys can get
Josh Bressi Pretty sure you'd be this upset too. At least they're all calm about it, just releasing frustration.
That's What I Spew i wouldnt do it over a strikeout even if its a bad call

Jackson’s break was the best, it looked to effortless, especially over his head
If you notice he cracked the bat on the swing then broke it over his head. Now do I think he could do the same with a perfectly good bat? Yes....yes I do lol
@WillaHerrera lmao my first thought was "but it was already cracked" then I remembered it was bo Jackson and he could've snapped 2 if he wanted
Bo Jackson was a beast. Bats would have nightmares about him.
Thanks! I've been looking for that name everywhere. I need to find a video of them to prove a point.
Also linebackers had nightmares about him.
Boz 😂

That has to be the most fun shit being able to snap a baseball bat over your leg. Looks so cool.

Max T Not really it's almost like they make them like that not saying it's not impressive but just saying most average in shape man could do that...
Max T true that
Bate
Max T I wouldn't think that's easy
3:52 the catcher looked at him like "Lord Jesus!"
Bluestone8aj lol
This video should just be called "Carlos Gomez Frustration Compilation"
Jackson Rose Carlos Gomez and Junior Lake frustration compilation more like
It would be too long lol
i saw a lot of matt kemp clips
he was 3 for 8 on broken bat attempts lol
For some reason, I love it when players do that.

"Breaking Bat" - Now, that sounds like a great TV series
If Junior Lake wonders why he's stuck in AAA I think he ought to watch this video
Expos Classics lol
Expos Classics hahaha
What team is he with
the madc2004 Buffalo Bison the AAA affiliate of the Blue Jays
David Ortiz can break a bat so damn easy he doesn't even put any effort into it. He must have really strong Arms lol
jose nava ture
Nothing to do with arms. All leg strength. Try it out and see how much your leg gets bruised
DozaSlayer naw it's arms too, have u ever tried it? Cuz I have lol I played baseball for 15 straight years

There's no crying in baseball. You just break things. lol
Any kid who played baseball growing up has tried this and knows how hard that really is to do.

I love that this happens so often to the point where no one on the field is shocked about it. No one bats an eye everytime the person breaks it. Especially the catcher
Ha, “bats”
Ortiz gets a base hit and still breaks his bat 😂😂😂 straight comedy
First time I've ever seen emotion from Goldschmidt.
Ville24 yeah... he always seems so calm, but I guess everyone has a tipping point
Ryan DeBettignies I'm a big D-backs fan, saw it live and it was the first time he ever got fired up.
Ville24 fr tho
Ville24 same, he usually never acts like that
Ville24 same af
im just laughing on how much money they are throwing away replacing all these wooden bats, lol
Latias_King they make millions, why should they care lol
Latias_King the players get shipments of 12-16 I don’t think the care if they break one or two a game
They but their own bats.
A lot of the players have bat sponsorship.
Latias_King Companies would PAY them to use their bats.
Jackson did it over his head... No snap... Just break. He was a true boss. Football, baseball, and never aressted for a coked up hit and run. A true American Hero.
Xopher Lee it was already broken he just finished him off
why did i just watch 10 minutes of men breaking wood..
I can’t believe how strong some of these cats are. Bo knows bat snapping!
Big Papi gets base hits and still breaks bats😂
The best one by far lol
1:58, that was a clean breaking bat
My thigh is sicker because of watching this video.
7:58 I love how he's just like "FUCK THIS BAT!!!........ Oh wait, I should probably go pick that up"
It's kind of satisfying to watch them break on their knees over and over
I’m not a pitcher, but is seems really satisfying if you get someone to break their own bat
As a bat maker, this is heartbreaking
0:45 why are there birds on the field just chillin LOL
It takes a lot of arm strength but you can't skip leg to snap a solid wood bat over your leg
The fact that there is 9 minutes of this is amazing.
I miss Bo Jackson. Crazy strength. Breaking the bat on his head. Wow
"He's gotta stop doing that" lol
David Ortiz is like the Shaq of baseball big and strong
Only difference is Shaq never juiced (as far as I am aware of).
"There's no crying in baseball, you just break things."
"There's no crying in baseball....you just break things."
This has got to be the greatest feeling as a pitcher
This has to be the most Badass feeling ever
Lol it’s basically subtle entertainment, the same would happen at a hockey game with two players going at it, throwing those gloves off lol
The amount of Cubs clips really says something about that club.
Jolly St. Nick *old club
Junior lake traded halfway through 2015( stuck in minors for Mariners now), Samardzjia traded in 2014 currently on Giants( has a clip in video), Jorge Soler played one full season and was traded to Kansas City after 2016
lol no it doesn’t then this vid says something about the Red Sox aswell
I’d be pretty upset if my team hasn’t won/was cursed for like 60 years
Seems like Bo and Ortiz did it so effortlessly. Upton was impressive too considering how skinny he was.
Watching this makes me think of two things.
1) this vid makes it seem like this happens all the time!
And 2) the hell did that bat do to you?!
As a catcher, it’s extremely funny to see them smash the bat on home plate
0:50 this should be renamed to "pigeons invade the field"
Pigeons don't give a shit
I love how Ortiz breaks the bat like half way up the shaft and makes it look like he could've broke two at once if he wanted to

Bluestone8aj I don't even like auburn but I loved bo jackson, too bad he got injured
The bat was already halfway broken when he “broke it” over his head. Not a very difficult feat for any pro athlete
BA You’re amazing
I agree with Tom McCarthy at 6:32. “I don’t know how they do that. I really don’t. I don’t know how they do that.” (NBC Sports Philadelphia)
why did ortiz break his bat at 8:31
I agree
My guesses are that either he wanted to get his team going and a single wouldn't cut it since he's a slow baserunner, or that he was trying to get out of a slump and he still didn't feel comfortable with his hit. It's never a good feeling when you can't get your timing right
Or he feels that if he made that hit earlier in the game, his team wouldn't have been down 5 runs in the bottom of the ninth
DozaSlayer true
Mathew McKone the bat was broke from the pitch he just finished it off.
Start making the bats for the MLB metal only. Let's see them try to break the bat then XD
Samardzija looks like a skinnier guy, but Jesus, he can snap a bat like nothing
Dude used to be a tight end at Notre Dame you know
DozaSlayer Only skinnier guy I can think of is Melvin Upton Jr. and he can break a bat too
I feel like breaking your bat shoes your frustration and defeat and probably just gives the pitcher satisfaction.
“Taking that lid off the teapot” hahaha
That shit made me laugh so hard 🤣
3:31
I love how he holds it likes waiting to see if he should be angry to break it or not
Chris Davis(8:47) was the most impressive, he broke it almost down the middle, most guys break it at the thinnest point near the knob.
Evan Kaz WTF WHAT ABOUT BO HE SNAPPED THAT SHOT OVER HIS HEAD WITH NO EFFORT
Sel Randolph his bat was already slightly broke when he hit the ball but still impressive tho
Kermit In Supreme the bat was already broken
lol he did idiot
how can these bats last through countless 90 mph fastballs, yet snap enough to have a youtube compilation?
David Ortiz: The bat breaking legend
& Bo Jackson... No question
You forgot Bo Jackson
"There's no crying in baseball, you just break things." Lmao
Now if they can do that with an aluminum bat Ill be impressed.
You should be impressed regardless, have you ever tried this?
The strength it takes to do that. Shout-out Bo Jackson
“Breaks the bat in half, angry with himself” lol
These guys definitely played the Super Nintendo game 'Ken Griffey Jr. Presents MLB' back in the day.
The poor bats
what did the bats did to them
The best 1s r when u can hear the chorus of "OH'S" from the crowd

Why did Ortiz break his bat when he hit that single???
chrisgast beacause he thinks hes the best and can always hit homers
He wanted a better hit.
I really thought I was gonna see the bat break upon the impact of the ball. That would’ve been really cool
These boys need to grow up
K V shut up you idiot
They get frustrated and games mean a lot to them, they want to win.
Thunder 101 But they should be figuring out what went wrong instead of killing the innocent trees.
They break it like it’s ply wood. Can’t say I like baseball but it’s pretty damn impressive. I doubt I could break a bat with my leg lmao
What'd the bat do to you?
Wasn't corked enough lol

Who invented the bat break??
Chili Davis from the Giants was the one who started that LOL.
Dimitri Scofield Bo

Chili Davis invented it, but Bo Jackson made it famous by breaking it over his head
I can't believe how know one has realized how much Matt Kemp is in this video, it's like 5 times

When you try to do it for fun/showing off, its impossible (or hurts like hell), after a strikeout its a flipping twig and you don't feel nuffin
