That TR3A is so 'clean and pristine' that I wonder if it lives in his living room under a plexiglass display cover! lol

That looks good that should much safer than the original wiring. I did this to my old motorcycle by fitting a fuse box it now has four fuses instead of none. I think you should make yourself a work roster so you can have a Elin Yakov day to work on your own projects.

It’s surprising how good the White Spitfire looks with the LED headlights. Still don’t like the rubber overrides though. 😎

Interesting project...You say you're leaving the OD switch where it is "as a dummy" ....I would remove it and use that spot for the cooling fan switch.....I put my cooling fan switch in that location on my TR3A as it's very convenient , fingertip control without removing my hand from the steering wheel ...Better than reaching down and across the dash panel....Mine is a simple small metal toggle switch, very unobtrusive........Also, I had a 1972 Cougar and I wired a push On/Off button to the front of the consul just below the armrest connected to the wiper's hot lead, so when the wipers were on I had a manual 'intermittent' wiper switch at my fingertips (something to think about)..............John (west coast, Can.)...

Elin I would strongly suggest to the customer, to add a battery disconnect to the negative terminal of the battery. I have one on my 4A, and shut it off every time I pull into my garage. It’s easy/cheap protection from an electrical fire.👍
BTW - I added solenoids to my headlight circuit, fused the wiper motor (after upgrading to a TR6 motor), and added hazard flashers!👍

I had a battery disconnect. Unfortunately my battery died and the replacement I sourced (in a hurry) was bigger so that the disconnect switch would no longer fit without contacting something.
When I replace this battery the disconnect switch will go back on.

Yes, that is a good protection. The only problem with it is (not on this car) when you have a radio and all your settings disappear every time you disconnect the battery. I know many people say the best music is the sound of your engine, but these are people who don't use their cars as daily drivers. When I was commuting 2 hours every day with my Spitfire I couldn't imagine not having a radio and a quality sound in the traffic.

@@RustyBeauties I use my iPhone and a Bluetooth speaker. I have a suction-cup type phone holder that I have mounted to the the lacquered finish on the inside of the glovebox door (it’s short enough that the door can still close). The Bluetooth speaker is inside the glovebox. I also mounted a USB charger in the glovebox to charge the phone and the speaker. Works like a charm!👍

Elin, I have a question for you. If you were offered one Triumph among a TR3, a TR4, and a TR6, all in excellent condition (and including the variants of these cars), which one would you choose, and why? I have intentionally omitted the TR2, TR5 or 250, the Spitfire and the GT6. I seek your opinion because you have rebuilt or at least worked on all of these cars. Thank you.
