If you are able to get through this video in it's entirety without shedding a tear, or at the least finding it very hard to swallow, I question were you stand on this issue as a human being. Thank you for your candor in revealing such raw and heartfelt emotion through this piece. To say it was moving would be an extreme understatement. It was surreal and soul wrenching. May God have mercy on his creation.

i think about this video every once in a while. it's so incredibly beautiful - the set design, the storyline, the colors and brushstrokes, and (of course!!!) the incredible dancing. this video inspired me to learn more about memphis jookin/juking and i am forever grateful to the talented team of artists for their creative collaboration.

Yeah, that clip was shared to me on facebook just now, found the link to the full video, with all credits, in the clip's comments (thanks for posting that, Lauren Joyner) and I shared this instead of just the clip. Facebook clip just seems to want to feature the animated art, totally missing the deeper point of the piece; the discussion in the comments on the clip reflects the disconnect between the people who only watched the clip and those who sought out and watched the full performance. Interesting.

This is definitely pure talent. To be able to put art and dance and film together to make such a beautiful and powerful political piece. A lot of thought went into this so I def appreciate it. I think it is depicting our fear to go out into the real world, because if all of the negativity and violence the media/news portrays. The news keeps our eyes glued to the tv, but it also instills fear, and that fear eventually kills us.
