Shifa Family extends a warm welcome to Dr. Bilal Umair, who has joined Shifa International Hospital Ltd. as a Consultant Thoracic & General Surgeon. Dr. Bilal Umair is a graduate of the Army Medical College, Rawalpindi. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Rawalpindi, and later obtained fellowships in General Surgery from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan and The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He spent three years in Riyadh working at the Armed Forces Hospital Al-Kharj. Additionally, he earned his FCPS in Thoracic Surgery from CMH, Rawalpindi, and received on-the-job training at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, London.
Dr. Bilal Umair has extensive experience, having served as the Dean of the Faculty of Thoracic Surgery at the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Pakistan, and the Director General of General Surgery at the Army Medical College, Rawalpindi. He joins Shifa International Hospital with a vision to further develop the Thoracic Surgery Department through his vast expertise in Thoracic & General Surgery, benefiting the community by adhering to international standards of best evidence-based medicine along with quality assurance and patient safety.
Dr. Bilal Umair will be available at Shifa International Hospital, located in H-8/4, Islamabad, from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
