You made a good point on visitors are allowed to join this parade freely. In many other countries, there are local anti-LGBT groups try to cause problems during the parade.

In Vietnam, i also see people celebrate this Pride and youngsters hold small clubs for meetings too. In rural areas, there are wedding parties for young couples with the consent of between two families
What do you mean "in europe you cant go into the parade"? Here in Vienna-Austria many people marching with the community and come to the trucks and so on! Nothing is locked! We have an own truck and people can get on and off! Im happy for the people in Taiwan!

I love Taiwan! The people are so friendly and the guys so handsome!!! I never felt unsafe anywhere in Taipei. I've photographed the NYC Gay Pride Parade for almost 40 yrs. You're right, it used to be so accessible to everyone; now it's like a walled off prison.

Taiwan’s passport allows visa-free access to 112 countries
I lived and worked on Taiwan for more than 25 years and they were the best years of my life. We didn’t have Pride parades or same sex marriage then, but it was still great. Taiwan and its people are awesome!!
