1. The birds and the bees: A gentle way of explaining how babies are made to children.
"My parents explained the birds and the bees to me when I was older."
2. Pregnancy: (noun) Carrying a baby inside a mother’s belly.
"She announced her pregnancy to her family with joy."
3. Pregnant: (adjective) The state of having a baby developing inside the body.
"She found out she was pregnant last month."
4. Paternity test: A test to determine who the father of a baby is.
"They did a paternity test to know the baby's father."
5. Maternity clothes: Clothes designed for women to wear when they are pregnant.
"She bought new maternity clothes as her belly grew."
6. Maternity leave: Time off work given to a mother to take care of her newborn baby.
"She is on maternity leave to care for her newborn."
7. Ultrasound: A medical test that uses sound waves to create pictures of the baby inside the womb.

8. Baby shower: A party to celebrate the upcoming birth of a baby.

9. Due date: The estimated day when the baby is expected to be born.

10. Obstetrician: A doctor who specializes in pregnancy and childbirth.
"The obstetrician checked the health of both mother and baby."
11. Prenatal care: Medical care given to a woman during her pregnancy.
"She attended prenatal care appointments regularly."
12. Maternity ward: A hospital section specialized for childbirth and care of newborns.

13. Contractions: The pains a mother has while she is in labor.

15. Epidural: Medicine given to a woman to stop the pain during labor

17. Midwife: A healthcare professional who assists in childbirth.

18. In labor: The period when a woman is experiencing contractions to deliver a baby.
"She was in labor for several hours before the baby was born."
19. Delivery: The act of giving birth to a baby.
"The delivery went smoothly, and the baby was healthy."
20. Newborn: A baby that has just been born.

I looked up for meaning of words you mentioned briefly here it’s pregnancy is period in which fetus develops inside woman woman around 40 weeks or 9 months. Maternity leave is time either paid or unpaid that new mother takes off work after birth or adoption of child . Maternity ward is hospital ward that provides care for women during pregnancy and childbirth and newborn infants. Midwife is person who assists woman in childbirth. Ultrasound is imagining test that uses sound waves to make pictures of organs , tissues , other structures inside your body . Placenta is organ that forms in womb also , called ulterus , during pregnancy. Sleep through night defined as sleeping six to eight straight hours overnight. Sleep like baby to sleep deeply and well . Kicks is shoes especially fashionable sports shoes or means to strike , hit with foot . Bottle in slang means your courage , means too narrow necked container made of impermeable materials in various shapes , sizes which transports liquids . Bassinet is small bed for baby like basket . Pacifier is usually nipples shaped device for babies to suck or bite on . Someone is pacifier means who tries to bring peace . Diaper in British English ( nappy ) is soft or thick cloth that fastened between legs to absorb unrine and solid waste . Nicu is intensive care unit . Gender reveal is public disclosure of gender of unborn baby soon to be parents. Partenity testing is attempting to establish identity of person genetic parents, also called biological father or dna . Ceaserean section or c section is surgical delivery of baby through cut made in birth . Contractions are when muscles of womb tighten and then relax during labor . As I was a newborn I needed to stay 2 month in the NICU, because I was a premature. Brent, thanks for all the helpful vocabulary. I can really need 😊 If I'm not completely mistaken, parents in Germany can take up to three years of parental leave together, but they only receive the full parental compensation from the government for 12-14 months. But they can extend the monthly payments to up to 2 years and 8 months under certain circumstances. But don't quote me on that, because I'm not an expert.
Whoa, very generous in Germany. I’m sorry to hear about your newborn experience. I’m sure your parents must have been so nervous. Our daughter spent five days in the NICU. Not fun, but most precautionary.

Milestone is significant events in your life: delivery is act of giving birth . Pregnancy test is way to determine if you pregnant or not .
