(213) Reverse flower dip with napkin - 3rd commission piece - Acrylic pouring technique

  • Опубліковано 23 сер 2024
  • Hello from Slovenia!
I did the last, third commission piece used napking for my reverse flower dip. It turned out so different... I used the same colours, but it's mostly red.
This three commissions are great example, that every pour you do, turn out totally different. But I think that they will still look very nice together. ;)
All my paints are mixed with Boessner acrylic binder and Duffa acrylic primer.

This one seems to have more depth or 3D look to it. I can really see the ‘spiral’ in this one. All 3 are quite lovely.. can’t wait to try some.. I just watched Kanella’s new video on the bloom technique- WOW.. It’s really involved, but I loved watching.

Yeah. You make it look simple and easy. I'm reminded of the Chinese story of the artist commissioned to draw a farmer's prize cockerel. After months of waiting the farmer goes to the artist to demand why its taking so long. In a few minutes the artist draws the cockerel and hands it over. "Why couldn't you have done that months ago?" The artist points to the hundreds of drawings piled on the floor. "I had to do all these first to know how to draw it."
      Your skill shows. ❤

This painting video is like watching a magic trick! The magician takes paint and makes swirls that a 5 yr old can make. Then he cover it with a wet paper towel, lightly taps it with his fingers while saying the magic words, gathers up the corners and slowly pulls the paper towel off.......and voila!!!!!! The simplistic swirls have transformed into a gorgeous and exquisitely detailed flower!!!! Bravo!!

You could try out the techniques on large sheets of paper to get the hang of it. Won't be the same finish, throwaways to learn hand control. Then try it on your board. Its only paint. If it doesn't work you can scrape it off before it dries and have another go.

I don't know what took me so long to subscribe because I've been watching for a long time. I had this one saved in a folder and told myself once I start getting more energy after my battle with cancer I would start back pouring. I wanted you to know that I've watched so many of your videos while fighting cancer and I always got lost in your work and voice and felt like I was doing it while in your class. Crazy I know. Funny what the mind can do when you can't do anymore. I just wanted to thank you for having so many videos to watch. I finally hit the sub button and followed on Instagram as well. Best wishes and happy pouring and creating for all of us. XOXO ♥️

Very cool. The 'fisheye' spots happening in the black base layer is from oil/grease. A quick wipe with a high percentage rubbing alcohol gets rid of those which gets the base to stay put, "spreads" to go smoother, getting rid of them also helps the paint bond to the base because fisheye's let paint eventually just fall off (months/years later) and just plain look better in the end- at least when I painted automobiles for a place that charged A LOT of money. No auto painter would allow fisheyes, lol! But otherwise, VERY cool design and mastery of a VERY hard technique. You make it look easy!!!!!!!
