    i've gotten enough comments that i think i should pin this. for nollie tricks frontside and backside are reversed. i made a video about it ua-cam.com/video/jVSaYYfceBE/v-deo.html or feel free to look it up! :)

    • @TeelioBastard
      @TeelioBastard 7 років тому +4

      Sorry to prove you totally wrong.
      In Nollie you go backside and frontside just like like in normal ollie, you just pop from the nose.
      Fakie ollie is where you go reversed from swith ollie.
      I know its easy to think nollie as reversed. But it doesn't matter since whatever leg forward you go you still spin over the same rotation with your shoulders.
      example ----> Fakie halfcab = Switch frontside nollie

    • @VLSkate
      @VLSkate  7 років тому +7

      semantics aside, a lot of people think the nollie fs 360 shove it in this video is backside, but it's not. i know that it makes sense because for a nollie frontside 180 you're turning the same way as a regular frontside 180, so technically it's not "reversed", but for the sake of people's understanding, it's the opposite of what they might think. i get what you mean, though (i think), a lot of people just get bs and fs wrong when it comes to nollie though. (and if you watch my video i linked to i actually point out that it actually is fakie that is reversed)

    • @JoshDoubles
      @JoshDoubles 7 років тому +23

      1) kickflip
      2) heelflip
      3) fakie flip
      4) fakie heel
      5) varial flip
      6) fakie varial flip
      7) half cab flip
      8) half cab flip
      9) backside flip
      10) half cab heel
      you might feel theres some tricks easier than this like frontside flips over backside flips, but most people find them easier backside cos you foot gets to come of the board away from the roataion of the trip. im not including anything like "boneless finger flip" cos thats just not a flip trick...

    great videos I've seen all three of em. I like all of em. I can't land all of the tricks on any of em but they all give stuff to try and that keeps me motivated to skate a little every day. Just starting to skate at 36 is tuff so the extra motivation is great. I come close to landing or land some of these and that also keeps me stoked on skating myself and with my rapidly advancing 11 year old son

    Tbh if I were to get a longboard I’d just use it for cruising during this shitty virus. Just relieves stress. Listen to a longboard on a smooth blacktop on a nice spring day, feel the wind from it, no stress, no tricks, just cruising and hearing the nice sound of the smooth soft wheels on blacktop. It’s fucking great for anxiety without obstacles, try it it’s worthwhile I promise. I tried it on my cousins longboard once and I fell in love, but I never had the want or need to buy one.

      No , full cab don't exist...just say cab and a cab is backside 180 with a 180 pivot

    Hi VLSkate, I remember you mentioned a skater who was really doing a bunch of extremely unique tricks. And I thought you mentioned it in this video but I didn't see it. What was that guys name?

    great video! This difficulty level is perfect. There are enough "how to Ollie" videos out there.
    You are the one that explains tricks the best imo.
    "This is stupid but make sure you can jump 180 degrees" LOL!
