⚠Hi guys! Here is Episode 2, featuring 5 more iconic GT cars: ua-cam.com/video/HfSZW5R6td0/v-deo.html&lc=UgxIs6QtIUNibuL3-ZN4AaABAg&ab_channel=WorldofCars
You can't have a list of iconic Gran Turismo cars and leave out the Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo (3000GT VR4). That car dominated the original GT, and was the OG wall-rider of cheesers the world over.
Thanks for your comment! there are too many iconic cars in GT, so this is only the first set of 5. I got plenty of recommendations in the comments for Part 2. Stay tuned!
Great video. I love that you added RL video clips highlighting the sound of the cars. That's cool. For me, the most iconic GT car was always the TVR Speed 12. It was so insanely fast, but almost impossible to drive. It's a super race car, and, IMO, gorgeous.
When I started watching this video, I said to my self, this list will be invalid without the Suzuki Escudo. Glad to see you have it on there. That is the most iconic car for me in all of Gran Turismo...lol
haha yea, when I was a kid I thought that thing was the fastest craziest car in the world while I was playing the game. I vividly remember me and my brother driving the shit out of it haha. Good Times
Nice vid. Just to add, the Oreca Vipers won lemans 3 years in a row. 98, 99 & 00. Also won FIA GT, Nurburgring 24 2 years in a row and would have been 3 in a row were it not for corrupt officiating. It was one of the most dominant race cars of its era. I would say the Alfa 155 touring car is also an honorable mention of iconic GT cars.
You are absolutely right! Thank you for the correction! I considered a few more cars, like the Spoon S2000, Daihatsu Copen, Takata Domoe NSX, and the Alfa 155. I may create a part 2 in the future.
Yup. I watched a documentary on it. Pretty interesting story. Lots of unfair rules and regulations created with the sole purpose of forcing the Viper to be slower.
I normally don’t watch videos in their entirety and I wanted to click off but my mind said not to because there might be something cool or interesting so I watched it and it was definitely worth my time! Plus you gained a new subscriber
Not sure how none of the iconic Skylines made it on the list. A big reason the GT-R was so popular in N/A even though it was never sold here was because of Gran Turismo. Either the classic blue Calsonic R32 or that yellow Penzoil R34 you have footage of next to the Supra, both were some of the best cars in the early GT titles
Yes, I agree, Francis. Unfortunately, I had to leave some iconic cars for Part 2. The good news is, you can check Part 2, including a very special Skyline!
The Castrol Celica GT-Four deserves an honorable mention as well, and the Toyota GT-One (Which in GT4 could do the wheelie glitch). Let's also not forget that damn GT40 Road Car in GT2 that shattered so many hopes and dreams in the Historic Car Cup. I don't know if the Red Bull X2010 would count since it isn't a real car but considering it has found its way into other games (via mods) I would consider that an option too, the Nike 2022 in that same category. Skyline Pace Car and 787B too.
It seems like you had a lot of fun playing Gran Turismo, Demoman! Thank you for all your suggestions! Some of them (Toyota GTOne, GTR Peace Car, Ford GT) got featured in Part 2. Make sure to check it out! ua-cam.com/video/HfSZW5R6td0/v-deo.html I added the rest to the list of potential cars for Part 3.
@@world_of_cars_ Saw there was a Part 2 after making that comment. Have had a lot of fun with the series, and I am glad I got my PC up to spec to play GT5 on an emulator. Some major annoyances popped up (The level system mostly), but still tons of fun)
@@world_of_cars_ Yep, though GT4 is also very much a top contender (There is a weird bug with the hud when emulating though). Hated GT6 due to every event being structured exactly the same with the insane rubber banding which makes it so you spend the first two laps catching up the leader then you pass them on the last corner in every single race. Really got old fast. If GT7 comes to PC I might give a go. As of writing this comment I've got the B-Spec lads in GT5 doing the 4 Hour Nurburgring Endurance race.
@@demomanchaos I agree regarding GT4. It's my personal favorite. Nürburgring endurance races are so epic! Keep having fun with it, man! I haven't played GT7 so far, but I heard it's not the best to put it delicately.
It's a bummer that Yellowbird wasn't in GT Sport and GT7. But 993 RS and 964 RS are definitely iconic cars and the most thrilling cars in the whole game.
Thank you for your comment Chris! These are just 5 of the lot of amazing cars of Gran Turismo. I had enough suggestions in the comments to create part 2. So stay tuned!
The Escudo doesn't have 2 engines, it only has 1. The Cultus had 2, but they ditched that idea for the Escudo because it was very difficult to synchronize them.
That Pikes Peak was a monster in GT2. Once you got that you were invincible! Love it in GT7, great for collecting the £727k winning the WTC 800 Sardegna every time. Can tune it to about 799.65.
@@world_of_cars_ Some of the Toyota and Pescarolo electric race cars. Some of them are slow, others can compete. And the street going Mazda Furai, it makes some races easy to win.
@@SilentHillFetishist Thank you for your suggestions! Although, these are from newer episodes, which I'm not too familiar with, I'm going to look into these cars for future episodes.

Mazda Demio. Every journey in Gran Turismo starts with that car.
Good point, Pavise! I will include a lower-tier starter car in the next episode.

where the skyline safety car💀☹️
There will be a part 2 in the near future, which will include more legendary GT cars. I'll have to have a GTR. Maybe a Nismo 400R, or the Mine's GTR.
And the Mercedes DTM that chases the Safety Car 😁
INfamous

Love the video. Huge fan of racing and the Gran Turismo series. I like the clips of real vehicles too.

Oh nah, where is Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II?!
Yes, that's a legendary one! Stay tuned! The 2nd part is in the works. Maybe it will include the Ford GT ;)

No EVO IV, it's EVO VI.
Thanks for pointing out! It is a mistake. It definitely should be VI!
Mazda 787B?
Good one! The 787B will be included in a later episode, maybe in part 3.

M3 GTR next please too :)

Awesome video mate. What's the best way to play Gran turismo 4 now? Emulation? What graphics settings to use?
Thank you, Rich! That's a good question. Could be emulators, or you can try to get a PS2 (this might be the best way).
Where's the gt2 hks drag cars
Thank you for your comment, Andre! I had to skip a few cars. Thanks for the recommendation. It may be included in a future video.

@@andrehooker3229 Exactly!😁
Where the pink Yaris prize car from gt3💀💀💀 or the yellow evo
I played a lot of GT3, but I didn't know about the pink Yaris :D
You forgot the biggest icon of the franchise Ford GT LM Spec II franchise from Gran Turismo 4 and also the Group C R92CP and Sauber C9 cars.
Thanks for the good suggestions! The Ford GT featured in part 2, check it out:

I brought a Mitsubishi evo 6.5 TME because of Gran turismo
Love that car
WOW! Congrats! That's a fantastic car! Thanks for sharing your story!
What about the Ford GT?
I had to leave out some cars, but at this point, there will be a part 2 in the near future, including more cars, which deserve to be highlighted.

@@world_of_cars_ He's not. The cultus had 2 engines, the red escudo definitely has one 3.0 V6.
787B? Lotus elise? Subaru Imprenza?
Good point! I definitely drove both of them a lot in-game.
If anything the castrol Toms supra is the most iconic car off the entire franchise
Gt one

Good old times, Simon! The Escudo was almost like a cheat code in GT2.
Try the 1960’s Mini Cooper rally car on GT 1 fantastic car, would eat many larger more powerful cars for breakfast on the game
Thank you for your suggestion, Adam! I will definitely look it up for the next GT video.
GT Legends Mini Cooper
Toyota GT-One should be in this video...
