Now why can't we have movies about guys like Benjamin Banneker?!
I agree! Only a few of us would appreciate it! Unfortunately!
Because he is black...
@@seanfranklyn2387 💀✋ wha!?
There should that would be dope
Why doesn’t Banneker more well known?
Because he’s black smh
@@glogan Because everything he did was already invented.... PS : ever heared of Robert Caillieu?
@@FranklinPiens wtf does that have to do with Benjamin??? He invented the clock IN AMERICA! Taught himself astronomy, math, etc. He didn’t travel, didn’t have any formal education. He was self-taught. That’s why we never heard of him. He was Black and we barely knew Black American history except for MLK, Rosa Park, Harriet Tubman and the same old Top 5 ppl. Get over yourself.
@@sheriece05ify as you said.... "IN AMERICA" ..... the only country that have their own Champagne outside of the Champagne region in France, football that is played by hand and honey that is not honey. Why don't YOU get over yourself :/
@@FranklinPiens you’re not proving anything lol. If I invent something or “thought” I invented something that has been used already somewhere else does not discredit anything especially back in those days when you had no idea who and when someone invented something. Benjamin was a SELF-TAUGHT person who had no education. Stop being a hater.
His Astronomy also came culturally from his family roots in West Africa the Dogon Astronomical Beliefs. It was why he was good with time, location and calculating the solar eclipse, even if formal books helped him further his studies, his innate understanding is what guided him.
Valid point! The Dogon Tribe spoke much about the star Sirius!👍🏾
The Babylonians and Greek calculated solar eclipses .....
@Hyenas i can't jump....
Thank you for saying this
That's what I was thinking I thought he learned from his grandfather and grandmother. His grandfather came from Mali and thought him how to use Astronomy to grow food and irrigate. And his grandmother thought him to read since she was English lady that used to be an indentured surgent who bought her family's freedom. He became a scientist because of his Grandfather.
why dont we learn about him in history
Because he didn't do half of the stuff mentioned in his video.
He didn't make history til he was later in life a munscual. Look it up, it a combination of words 3:02pm here at NET10 🥴
wow .. awesome . thank you
He didn't recreate it, he created the original.
There had already been clocks in other countries, but he built the first striking clock in America, using only his own calculations and a pocket watch. Considering he'd never even seen one, though, it was as difficult as if he had created the first one. :)
@@agexcitementstudios4343 It was not the first striking clock in America. There is no foundation for this. You're both wrong.
I think there should be a skilled, permanent presentation exhibit at the Smithsonian & a major film production for the silver screen. Studios don't publish proper phones numbers,or,email addresses to express the idea for this to take place. He is incredible & I would say That God blessed him to the 13th degree. Perhaps,NAACP should contact Hollywood to make this real,😉😇🤩🤩🤩💜.
Am i the only one who came from Ms. Savage’s science class for a project on this? if so Hey!
Why can’t I share this on TikTok
I wonder if Mr. Albirtton looks at the comment section?
idk
These are the kind of people that deserves a statue 🗿 not slave trader 🤔👌🥂
His house burnt down, she did not say that, how I now this, my school showed me a vid called, the exceptional life of Benjamin

Um... The earth is not flat
Is she serious?
Because he was unthought of til he invented how to irrigate his own system which worked for a lil while. Now hes self-taught. Check out gomer pyle! 1:25 1:29 1:31 1:33 1:34 1:35 1:37
