We very much appreciate the work load involved in producing your videos - they are unlike most in this genre. Your channel is a valuable resource for us as we increase our PS competence in a local niche that separates us from the rest.
Your tutorials are inspirational, Red, I even bought your full course & it was the most comprehensive course I've done yet. Brilliant stuff. I'm sure just about all of us who follow you are more focused on your amazing creative skills than your English, so it's absolutely fine! Rest assured you get your point across, I love watching you work.
Thank you for teaching us in this tutorial. Your English is amazing and I heard nothing wrong with it! I wanted to know how to make this ambiance for my photos. I really appreciate it. Keep making these tutorials please. Thank you again.

@@PhotoManipulation matt i have a question can record a tutorial or informative video about all mostly used rules in Manipulation digital painting such as rules of third and golden ratio?
You are good in how much the tips you know but to make something like this artworks you can use very simple steps and you will get same or better result.
Fun tip for rule of thirds guides Edit>Preferences>Guides, Grid & slices Under grid change the color from grey to something you can see easy (I use a lime green). Change the settings to every 33.33 percent and then the subdivisions Is your preference I like either 2 for center points in each 3rd or 3 for a second rule of thirds in each section. Then all you need to do to toggle 3rd guides is press ctrl '
I prefer Red's method. It's much easier. Create a new layer filled with black. Transform it and set values of both height and width to 33%. Drag new guides to the boundaries of the transformed layer, it would Snap. DONE.
I feel so little watching this video 😂 The realism is amazing. I knew noise was useful... But this is just impressive ❤️ One day I hope to be able to do this level of work
I can confidently say Red / the PM Team are very much against Midjourney + AI Art in its present state. Too much plagiarism, and 'stolen valour'! We're hoping the fad dies out soon - Dean
Good to see you moving the channel to a higher level so I liked the video even before seeing the tutorial. Maybe Piximperfect can serve as a kind of inspiration to you, he's not a native English speaker either but he gained a big crowd. It's all about the talent here on youtube, and you definitely have that so keep it up.
Question: In the beginning of the course u duplicated the original layer to two making it “Layer 1 & Layer 1 copy” which u cropped the copy and converted to black and white before then attempting to use the lasso tool. So my question is this, when u duplicated the black white layer making it “layer 1 copy & layer 1 copy 2” while intersecting layer 1 copy 2 underneath layer 1 copy 1. So what was your reason for doing that?
Hi Redouane. Sorry another question. When you have your 3 layers, Layer 0, Layer 1 filled with grey and Layer 0 copy 3 which has the mask you have created. You click on the mask and go to select and mask and you get the mask in view. At this stage do you have your view mode on the select and mask set to black and white and when you have adjusted your select and mask do you output this to selection? This all starts at about 2.51 mins on the recording. When I enter select and mask I can still see the grey layer but I don't have my view mode at Black and white. Hope you can help. Thanks
Thanks for the amazing und well explained video, Red! It looks sligthly sped up. How much time did it take to create this impressive piece? You often used select all and then cropped it. I understood that you dont want something to overlap than the canvas. Why though?
Because when he transforms layers (that is, Enlarge it) outside the canvas, and it gets tooo big. It would mess up photoshop. Not just by increasing the document size, but so many functions would not work properly. For example, saving the document would bring up an error. Creating smart objects would bring up and error. Zooming very close to some specific layers would be impossible. This is not commonly said in tutorials , but It's something I experimented with and found out. It's VERY good practice to do what he does there. Don't just select the crop tool and crop. Select the canvas with Ctrl + A, then go to image. And crop. Done
For the butterfly, I can’t understand why you decreased the exposure first and then increased the brightness (in hue n saturation). what’s the logic behind it ?
With the hue & saturation I just felt that the butterfly was more contracted than it needs to be, and the scene was suppose to be atmospheric and moody this is why I add brightness with the hue & Saturation just to decrease the contract of the objects
Hi I am working through this tutoral, however I have come unstuck early in the tutorial. At about 2.12 minutes into the tutorial you have made a selection, changed it into a high contrast selection using curves. You then selected all the image using Ctrl A then duplicated the background layer. Added a mask to this layer. Alt clicked on the mask and then you somehow copied the selection into that mask. How did you do that. I can't work it out from the video. Hope you can help. Great tutorial.
When you complete the Black and white image that you're going to use as a mask, click ctrl A to select all then click ctrl C to copy it, select the layers of the image you want to add that mask to and add a mask to it, then hold ALT key to enter that mask, click ctrl A again to select all then ctrl V to paste.
Great tutorial as usual, glad to see "real" art, nothing against technology, but I'm tired of this AI art everywhere, It all looks the same to me. Thank you.
I don't speak English and need to look on google browser to understand what you say. Can you tell me if your course is browser-based or must-download (if it can be viewed in a browser that would be great)
