    I recentlyy found a very old cassette tape/cd boom box on the curb and i want to add bluetooth to it. It will be very nostalgic if it works.

    Thanks for the video. 2 points of concern if I may:
    the noisy smps 5v power
    The metal around the BT module will kill BT RF.

    Any humming, hissing noise? Since there is no ground loop isolation or DC filter

      Actually there is no problems at all. The sound came up pretty good 😊

    I did an upgrade based on your video. I used a power supply with USB 2.0 output, which I built into the amplifier (Teufel B200), which is smaller than yours, I didn't have much space, but I managed to pack everything in nicely. The problem is that it plays terribly quietly. I have to turn the volume all the way up to hear the BT sound. What could be causing this?

    • @FixitEasyDIY
      @FixitEasyDIY  11 місяців тому +2

      Are you sure you connected the output from the BT module to input of the amplifier. The BT module is able to give signal to your input of the amp. Then set the amp input where the BT is connected to. Volume from BT can be adjusted through the phone, when you bind it. Something has to be wrong. It has veey loud and clear sound in my setup. Please see report here when you manage to play it as it should be or if you need some further help ☺️

      @@FixitEasyDIY Thank you! I connected to the only input this amplifier has - AUX. And just such a problem with the terribly quiet sound. At first I connected the ground wrong but after taking the whole amp apart I managed to do it properly. Technically it works ok, connects to iPhone 12 mini, MacPro6.1 or MacBook Pro 2018 without any problem.

    I tried draining power from the board, but that gave a terrible noise through all inputs.

      There must be a way to do it without noise injection. I used a separate power supply. Ugly but working just perfect.

    Евала за клипчето човек ,обаче какво направи ти,взе зарядно за телефон на входа му върза 220v ( ac) на изхода излиза около 5v DC и върза модула за него.Обаче ако се налага да се вгражда в авто сд така няма да стане.

      Easiest way is on the transformer's primary coil. It will trigger 5v when switch is ON.

    the audio quality is plain useless in those vhm-314 chips and all the like - has nothing to do with hi-fi. dramatic rolloff at lower frequencies (possibly higher too), cataclysmic distortion, stereo separation is not what it is supposed be in stereo sound, possibly resonant peaks, audio image is completely wrecked to oblivion, hissing/buzzing noise even from clean psu. these are complete waste of money/time. the only positive thing about these is that there is no chinese lady saying "bluu tooot divaice s nauwh khonnekted".

      out of these chinese ones the best one was ZK-PT2 even though it uses a JieLi chip. There's a reason why these things need proper capasitors - and therefore there's an increase in price. @@LFSIDIndonesiaOld
