I am really loving the supportive, judgment free zone Curtis has created for Trina. He is the one family member who has witnessed the love that Spencer and Trina have for one another first-hand. On the Haunted Star, Spencer was willing to die for Trina, and she refused to leave without him. Curtis was impressed with the lengths that Spencer was willing to go to for Trina, and it helped him to gain respect for Spencer. Never in a million years could Trina have such a conversation with Portia.
Hi Lovely: Stella and Marshall also support Sprina. Curtis does too but just not in front of Porchia because he knows how she really feels about Spencer.
Just love the different stages of grief and trauma, Taby is acting out. While some may think she's missing the mark, she's NOT. Her betrayal of grief and trauma resonates with a lot of people. I can't wait for the reunion. I don't think Spencer will be able to get up without Trina following him around for a while.
I’m actually disappointed in the writing and production. I was hoping for more Trina scenes during sweeps and we got once a week if that. I wanted the writers to dig more into the intensity of Trina’s grief….. the lashing out, more mood swings, etc. Like the scenes Trina had with Ava are what we need more of. Not necessarily with Ava (although that is always welcomed) but just that intensity. Idk maybe bc Curtis isn’t giving much emotion himself I’m just kinda like 🤷🏽♀️. I know we still have time before Spencer is back. Hopefully the new writers will do better. I’m concerned folks are losing interest in Sprina bc NAC is off the canvas for now and the fired writers didn’t know what to do with Trina outside of NAC. 🙁
@@CJ3581 I believe we're still riding off some of that writing. The new writing maybe about to seen. I know for sure that was the delay of Steve Burton. He will not act out bad scripting so we will see the new writing pretty soon. I want to see what the new writers are going to do. Avery Pohl knew Esme was being written off six months ago so at least when NAC comes back it won't be connected to her at all.

I keep expecting them to reveal that the turtledoves are trackers because I feel they focus on them too much to not be something. Yes, they ARE a symbol of their soulmate bond, but that's not all they are. It can't be. Since Trina isn't even going to school, they need to give her more to do. I was expecting her lashing out or maybe a dream sequence where she thinks she seeing Spencer and it gives clues that he isn't gone - at least in her psyche. I don't know. Just something to move the plot along. Have her bond with Laura or something. But nooo. They have her isolated with no story outside of Spencer. This is their chance to showcase all the stages of grief. They shouldn't waste it.
I agree. At least they should let her have a dream with Spencer talking to her or just standing looking down on her, a touch a kiss. Give her that much. Her grief for Spencer should have been their focus, not just a few scenes hee and there. Tabyana can work with anything that they give her, just give it to her and she will be awesome. I also agree with the dream idea on both front him standing over her kissing and maybe saying something like find me. that at least means that he's still alive... basically explaining her response on the ship when she said "This isn't the end spencer... Some how... Some way...".😊😊😊
Taby doing a great job at everything that’s being thrown at her. I really liked her material today. This, to me, is the most relatable part of grief. That numbness. Where everything feels meaningless and doing nothing is better than faking it.

This may help others who are watching to see what Trina is going through with the grief process. I am glad Curtis did not judge her and he shared how he had felt and I think Trina is on the road to healing, especially holding her dove.
Hi Marsha: Like I said in my comments, I don't like the one on one scenes with Trina and Curtis. They just don't connect in their scenes. Not like she does with. Taggert There is never a private conversation between Trina and Curtis., he always goes back and tells Porchia what they discussed even though he knows how Porchia feels about Spencer. I also think how he named all the family members who would be there for her. Everyone except for Taggert. I know that it's Chris and Dan still writing but it is still shameful I just hope the new writers at least if they are not going to bring the character back give us some clarity as to why Taggert is not around Trina to help her with her grief
Sometimes people ask if your okay and you can see that they are desperately hoping that you will say I'm okay. That way they can say that they checked in saw how you were doing. ... you tell them the truth or give them a hint that things are not so great . Boy do they get uncomfortable . The way that Trina explained to Curtis about how she was feeling was so spot on . I found myself applauding her as she said them. The words that were written resonate true to life in the grief process. Go Tabyana.

He didn’t really lose anything, he just needed to adjust. People live full lives in wheelchairs. Trina is in pain bc of a loss. Maybe in time she’ll find another love, but she and Spencer took so long to get to where they were. They planned a future together. Curtis at least tried to be cordial to Spencer. Portia didn’t even try. I’m okay with these scenes, but I need to see Trina with Portia and have Portia tell her that she shouldn’t put her life on hold and have Trina lose it on her and drag her for how she treated Spencer, when all he wanted was for her to accept him. That needs to happen before Spencer comes back. Otherwise, we’ll be back to square one where Portia is making snide remarks when Trina isn’t around.

There's no reason for Taggert not be be around. Real is doing great and he is healthy. The writers are just being dicks having him away from his only child at this time.
Well it’s not just the writers. Donnell the guy who plays Curtis is part of the reason for no Taggert. He asked GH for a family. Instead of them creating one, they decided to retcon Trina as Curtis daughter. This just goes to show their writers are not creative enough. I’ve said this before, Trina as Taggert’s daughter has the potential for all kinds of storylines. Since Taggert’s sister was engaged to Nicholas. Trina dating Spencer his son. Her being related to Curtis and the Ashford’s does nothing for her as a character. It makes her as boring as they are. It’s funny how they do not value Trina as a character on the show outside of Spencer. But she was on the show prior to Spencer’s return.

This is a perfect example of people pleasing, and the cost of what can happen when child grows up in a household where the parent(Portia) depends on the child as their emotional support system. Trauma dumping while the child is running around trying to either stomp out the fires or contain it to keep things from getting worse. While this is going on, the child will also make themselves small, and never wanting to add to whatever troubles they might become over achievers; never wanting to disappoint which leads to them beating themselves up. This was heartbreaking. You can tell Trina's has been like this for years. She was ready to put on that brave face.😢 Damn it Portia😡💯
I have to disagree on this. Portia is being written the way she is to eliminate her voice. I'm not OK with a black mother being discarded. The writers are trying to eliminate Portia and Taggert to prop Curtis and I'm not OK with it. They won't allow Brook Kerr or Real Andrews to do their job...all because Donnell wants to be the superhero. I can't wait until Patrick and the writers fix it.

If you look at the 2021 and 2022 clips, you see how Portia supported Trina and had her back. Her concerns about the Cassidines are valid. Trina deserves to have her own strong voice. Marshall has potential to be a good character but they keep writing him repeating the same story. This family needs to be written better. I hope Shannon Peace returns.

I don't like it, and I wish it were different, but unfortunately it's not. Trina has become the people pleasing daughter to the narcissistic mother who betrayed her without her knowledge. I don't want Trina anywhere near her. However, I am kind of curious as to what really went down for them to to write Real's character in such a foul way with no closure.🤦🏾♀️ I hope to God, Trina moves out of that house once Spencer comes back.
