I really wish kate had more time on the show as a whole. Kind of like what the 3rd doctor had where he was working for unit for a season or two. I would love that with new who

She is getting her own UNIT spinoff show alongside season 14 with RTD
I would love to see either Kate or Osgood travel with the Doctor for a short time to experience his life and appreciate more why the Brigadier always spoke highly of him, and why he always set out a glass of brandy for him.

Capaldi should have got an award for the war speech alone. It’s so Shakespearean. It’s bounces so well through absurdity to anger to abject horror and sorrow.
I love Kate Leathbridge-Stewart. She was a brilliant addition to the Whoniverse.
And that anti war speech still gets me. The pain and passion in the Doctors voice.
I like the dig at us Americans over getting a time machine or some such.

Capaldi's speech is perhaps the finest of the speeches in recent memory. Each Doctor has their moments such as there are evils in the Universe and they must be fought and the No to the Daleks but this one?
It shows the pain of living with both the turmoil and the heartbreak of knowing you survived a war and living with the atrocities of a past life but not yet being able to atone for them.
It was nice seeing how Jemma built upon what Beverley originally did for the role in Downtime and Daemos Rising.
Kate Stewart is one of my favorite characters in all of Doctor Who.
God bless Kate Stewart. You best not kill her Chibs.

Showed her bits from the episode to some coworkers (who don't watch the show so they're impartial so no bias) and they said the same. She's a badarse, strong character.

The revamping of unit was one of the best parts of the Moffat era. I liked that they were almost villainous at time in RTD era but it was defo good to have them be a positive ally of the doctor (that still makes mistakes - see the Zygon Inversion). Anyway, point is, Kate is a fab character and I hope she is brought back for RTD2 x
I'm just hoping they bring back more characters

By far my favourite moment is when Kate makes Amy open the door to a cube playing The Chicken Dance song.

As someone who has seen every Kate Stewart episode and listened to every New UNIT BF audio, I ADORE this character, especially Jemma Redgrave's portrayal of her. I do wish we saw more, ya know, actual Kate in this montage though.

I love the scene from the zygon invasion. That was Capaldi at his best and a speech that should be required learning for everyone.
Definitely a top-tier Doctor Who character of all time. I hope they never let her go.
I think introducing Kate is a brilliant way to honour and continue Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart’s legacy

Did you know? Kate Lethbridge-Stewart first appeared in the direct-to-video production Downtime, which didn't feature the Doctor due to copyright but did feature the late Nicholas Courtney and Elisabeth Sladen as the Brigadier and Sarah Jane.
I screamed so hard when I saw her the in next time trailer. I really wished they never showed her tho and waited for the episode! I’m a bit bummed she never said her full name Kate Lethbridge Stewart, and just Kate Steward… she only had about 6 Lines too which in other episodes she has a decent part. But I’m so happy she’s back and hope she’s back in the specials!
If I'm remembering correctly, Kate has always referred to herself as Kate Stewart. The reason being she didn't want people to think she got where she was in UNIT simply because she's the Brigadier's daughter.

Kate is Nu Who’s brigadier. Not a full time companion, but someone the Doctor would trust without any hesitation.
you know, after watching Legion, Jemaine Clement would make THE perfect new doctor, every scene he is in commands attention - please let it be him.
Not sure about any of you but if a mysterious alien cube stabbed my hand with 25 tiny needles, my heart rate would be a LOT higher than that 4:03
As a character, I love Kate, for 2 reasons.
1. She's the one constant in doctor who actors will come and go, not her.
2. Her actress is amazing.
Kate was criminally underused in Survivors of the Flux. That better be because she’s a powerhouse ready to resurrect UNIT in The Vanquishers. Alas, they gave her little to no screentime and her and the Doctor’s encounters were not what I was expecting after she’s been off our screens since Series 9.
Remember though that each episode is a chapter as opposed to an episode. Next week we'll essentially all be watching a six hour Doctor Who story, and I can't wait to see what Kate has up Osgood's sleeves.

I’m going to miss Kate, the Osgood sisters, and UNIT. Not only were they some of the funnest bits, but they were what we had left of the Brig and a major part of Earth’s defense. Dang it, Chibs…

Fun fact he wasn’t the first writer for Kate , she appeared in quite a few classic spin offs , downtime for example

@@TheLibrarianOG1 It was actually Marc Platt who created Kate back in the 90s, but Chibnall brought her into the post-2005 series. He’s written plenty of great episodes though, definitely wouldn’t call them garbage~

Clara was pulled out of time at the moment of her death, Ashlda was granted immortality by the doctor, but NOT Time lord DNA or vortex energy, and whats Osgood got to do with anything?
1st Of all Madame @@julieeverett7442 you've mistyped Ashidr's name, 2nd of all Rose, Donna, and even Ashidr are too Time Ladies/Earthlings, and 3rd of all Osgood's also too a Time Lady as well i mean we don't know about her background let alone her origins, but one thing's for sure i won't be surprised if Osgood reveals that she's a Time Lady in disguise.
It means Mister @Tom Meehan that some of our favorite DW female characters could be a Time Lady in disguise, and no one even noticed it.
