The novels of Charles Dickens have been translated to some of the most successful theatrical productions of all time from the musical Oliver to the award-winning drama The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby. The latest page-to-stage adaptation is Jill Santoriello's musical A Tale of Two Cities, which has arrived at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre after a successful run earlier this year at Sarasota's Asolo Theatre. At a recent press event, TheaterMania spoke with five of the show's stars, James Barbour, Aaron Lazar, Gregg Edelman, Brandi Burkhardt, and Natalie Toro and got a sneak preview of the rousing score.

It was an awesome production ... 18 months later I still can't believe it closed so quickly. Such is the tragedy of our economy.

This looks better-I heard some of the music on Broadway Bullet and it sounded like Les Miz lite

Oh My Gosh! A Tale of Two Cities is the Best show that I have seen on Broadway so far. I have seen about 20 shows and this one definitely comes out on top! Everyone should go see it as soon as possible..I can guarantee you that you will not be disappointed. The cast is phenomenal and the story is so inspiring. You will find yourself laughing and crying and really just enjoying this classic Broadway experience! I have seen the show twice already and I intend on going many more times!

The show had some serious problems--but yeah, in a better economy, they might have had the time to fix those problems.
