No matter what. She is still an amazing singer. And every artist at some point has used a backing track. Everyone! Even still, there's no denying that Cèline can sing anything. This woman isn't done yet. Just wait. This is also my favorite song of hers.
The last one was live, honestly. She has been able to hit the lower key E5 and sustain it successfully since 1998. When comparing various clips on youtube, you can clearly hear the differences between the tones as she aged. There are even days when she sounded a bit sick or slightly off.
I can't agree with you, really. It's a playback note that she's been using since the first "Celine" era (starting 2011). She rerecorded it not so long ago, so we can really hear her matured voice on the recording. But it's still a recording. There are videos where her face is seen clearly. She overacts, wobbles her jaw too much - these are all the signs that she's not singing live. I guess that she just does it because of her tight schedule. Otherwise she would have probably already lost her voice.
I think the only one missing is her second appearance on the tonight show, and the rehearsal at the junk awards which is the best hands down. the second one is from Sonia benezra 1993, the one at 1:22 is the first appearance at the tonight show in November of 1993, and the second arsenio hall is also 1993. :)
@Alex Bodi which in hindsight is obvious seeing the way she sang that bridge...but my why did the actual performance just not nearly compare to that rehearsal?? I will say the more recently uploaded version with improved quality does make that version sound tremendously better but that rehearsal was simply perfect.
Yes! Me too! There's an audio of the rehearsal for the Junos where you will find it: ua-cam.com/video/Pp7u_l_iEEw/v-deo.html I think the high note is higher than in any other live performance of the song
@@juanbautista4727 Ah, OK thank you very much!! It's a pitty she didn't sung it another time like this, cause we all know she could. I think that there is a video where she nails the whole song and then she tries to do the last note like the original and her voice cracked :/ Thanks again!! :)
@@davidneumann3527 nope, if you check out this fan recording :m.ua-cam.com/video/ecjTvDeQar8/v-deo.html as you can see she did sing the first verse live but the rest of the song is lipped using the prerecorded-track, then, later on she went back into the studio and re-recorded it for the dvd

I think, the reason to this is the same as the reason why she lowered the key of All By Myself. She never hit an F5 live just because it is to demanding and there's a risk of damaging the vocal chords by doing this continuously. Same here.
So... she made not just one but multiple songs containing notes that even prime Celine can't even sing? What the heck is that? Whitney hit all the notes and did much more with adlibs. Mariah changed the notes to higher notes, hit all of them, and wrote songs. What's the point of Celine.
this song is the reason I love her

Wow she really had the greatest voice during her prime. I cant believe she could hold her breath that long. And her vibrato is just perfect ❤

Which ones were as high as the originalnal studio version?
Was any of them in the original key as the album version though? The long note an E5 or Eb5 I believe?

+T C Yeah, the best D5 from the rehearsal is missing here. I heard her sing an Eb5 once in a French show but not the last note.
+zeissfan06 I can't even explain why I have forgotten to include that magnificent performance from the Juno Awards Rehearsal. My fault :))

Logan IceGlare /Λόγκαν Λάμση Παγετού Can you try to find that performance?
2:49 is my favorite. It sounds like the original. And 2:00 is the best vocally.
Unfortunately the best one is missing.
You could do a vocal showcase of 2 songs : Think Twice and or Because You loved me
She’s fooled you
Take a moment to appreciate the lady killing those backing vocals. That’s a resonant bomb at 0:22
esta mujer es única la amo como canta toda mi vida ídola , genia total lo masas!!!
Is the second one a D#5? Sounds almost the same note as album version...
Top of the Pops is the best live one. The version I listen to on my phone is the 1995 one in Paris; lipped but the best performance
you are missing one live high note in 2008

I agree. That video existed on another channel but they removed it sadly. Honestly we could use an updated version of this video too.
Theres also the rehearsal of Juno in 1994 and 1998 oprah
