The weird part about it is the device this technically competes with would be the Amazon Echo Spot, which has way more functionality and a touch screen OLED display for $79.99 USD.
That's hilarious. Looked up the Amazon Echo Spot and that doesn't seem to be worth the money at all. It's just an alarm clock with Alexa. It doesn't even have the sleep monitoring functions of the Alarmo. You can just buy a cheaper clock with the same features from China for half or third the price sans Alexa and OLED. Though those usually come with some other gimmick features like a thermometer or weather updates via their downloadable apps.
Where have you been seeing that? I've never seen this thing get 10/10 anywhere. The best it gets is "Cute and Fun....not worth what they're charging tho....", and that's pretty much across the board, with some even calling it annoying and not well cooked. Hell, even Nintendo Life, a Nintendo fansite, wasn't giving it 10/10. Even search Alarmo reviews on Google to make sure, and yeah 7's and 8's mostly and even lower.
Some other cons I didn't mention in the video: 1) Can only be used with one person (no couples allowed). 2) The screen is LCD, not OLED, so it doesn't look completely black. 3) The screen does not cover the entire circular shape. Etc...
I'm curious about the motion sensor technology in the alarm clock. maybe this is a stretch, but what if the alarm clock is just a pet project to see how well the motion sensing technology works before adding it to the rumored switch successor? I'm not sure why they would be interested in a technology as old as Kinect. But this is Nintendo, maybe they will surprise us with some unusual application.
The fit series absolutely deserves to stand besides those other series. It's a massive best selling one among exactly the market segment this clock is aiming for. The big question is why didn't tehy include simple alarms from 20 other series
i really wanted to click away to screw you over but stayed for the whole thing and i have to say the aggressive giving up mentality at the end was too good. i have subscribed
Your #3 comment says the screen doesn't cover the entire display. Does that mean the image just don't cover the entire display or something else? As far as the video shows, the screen shows everything important/worth registering 4:14 You say 7 /alarms isn't enough. Does that meant there are 7 alarms available through the day, or that 7 alarms in one daty aren't an option ?
The LCD screen is a rectangle, not a circle. There are big black borders on the top and bottom. It is not a circular screen. And I meant 7 games to choose from are not enough. There are 5 at launch and 2 in the future with DLC. You can only set one alarm.
Ik that it isn't worth it but I think its funny since I have troubles waking up but its easier to wake up to the perishment of pikmin and i am 18 now btw

Real review, no bs, more informative than all the other stuff about this thing I've seen 10/10.
Thanks!

Thanks for the honest review. A rare treat, particularly from Nintendo fans.

Maybe for the Switch 3? I don't recall any rumors about motion-sensing in the Switch 2.
Nintendo selling alarm clocks when we already got phones which do the same; we are at fault here bro.
This is one of the most random things I've seen Nintendo

Thanks! After a video I spent 8+ hours to make got 20 views, I stopped caring. Naturally, after that, the views increase.
It does show your Movement Log in addition to the time & animations that respond to your movements.
I know. Not worth the money.
good vid boss
The rectangle screen on a black circle was the killer for this junk. I am a huge Nintendo fan and I am shocked that they signed off on this.
I agree. I think a new team made this, and it shows.
Do you think it's shock resistant?
It's built well, and it's made for kids, so yes I do think it could survive falls and things.

Misleading. There are 7 alarm scenes per game for a total of 49 alarm scenes.
Sounds like he selected to shuffle only the Zelda alarms. There’s a separate “shuffle all” selection.
@@dylanrhoads "He" selected "shuffle all."
I hope someone sends a Alarmo to EEVblog for a look of the inside design + no bs opinion.
liked and subscribed for not acting like a tool like every other youtube creator
Thanks!

He’s not even using it as an alarm clock, just a desk clock.
I tested it as an alarm clock and then decided it's annoying. So I use it as a desk clock. Like many others.
You should definitely return it and get your money back, lol
shuffle is not random, shuffle should prevent repetition, especially instant repetition
It’s cheaper than Apple Watch at least
Apples and oranges.
Wow I was excited but this looks like a POS to me, thanks for saving me the moola.
It's definitely overpriced.
