I do not miss those lovebugs! So exciting to be back home and see your parents. Your pops is quite the chef! Things are moving quickly, exciting times Liz!
Oh my goodness liz! Plans changed fast with going ahead and putting in an offer! Sound like a coaster ride ups and downs! Hope yall get the house! Cant wait to see it all! Glad you are home in Florida! 💖
Sadly the rental options were pretty limited thanks to the dogs - the prices were crazy! We'll pay less for a mortgage than we would renting, and smarter to do it that way rather than throwing money away. Switched gears quickly once we realized that!
Yay for putting in an offer! That’s crazy though how quickly houses are selling in the Tampa area. Glad you get some relaxing parents time, definitely looking forward to that in a week.
I did that same drive on 70 from Bradenton through Arcadia and beyond so many times during the two years I was in college in West Palm Beach. Thanks for the blast from the past and Welcome Home!!!
You know it all too well.... and clearly it hasn't changed much at all! Lakewood Ranch... that's another story. Sooooo many new developments. But once you get to Panther Ridge... it's the exact same it's been my entire life!
Oh, the pain! You really like these secret surprise reveals don't you ;) Seriously, super good wishes and vibes for getting the house that you want! I am sure it will work out the way it is supposed to, can't wait to see more of your journey. I am so so happy for you both :)
Good luck with the house! My fingers and toes are crossed for you. It's good to see your parents again, I really like it when they're in the vlogs. Please say hello for me (like they know who I am lol). I'm so excited about these weekly vlogs to see how your move goes. It makes me wish that I was moving to Florida lol. Have a great week!
Hi Liz! Sooo happy you are back home!! Have to say got a bit emotional seeing your mom & dad, knowing you haven't seen them since the pandemic. I think your dad needs to do cooking vlogs! Everything looked delicious! Good luck, hope you get the house you want!🤞❤
That's amazing how quickly your plans changed. Fingers crossed for the offer being accepted! Your parents seem to be the sweetest and I was some of that steak and veggies meal it looked so good!
It's crazy - got down here and realized we had very limited rental options with the dogs, and all of them were going to be much more expensive than just getting a mortgage! So we switched gears!
Yay, your back in Florida!! I'm a Lakelander and like you I also grew up in Florida. I really enjoy watching your vlogs and now your also in the Tampa Bay area
Aw man, what a cliffhanger! Soooo nice to see your parents again, yay :) Hope you got the house... fingers crossed. I am so curious to see how the dogs will react to their new home soon :) xx
So excited to finally see you back in Florida! I’ve seen Arcadia from your older vlogs, it seems like such a cute little town. Tampa is a really popular area, my mom is looking to buy a house right now and is having some of the same problems. Good luck house hunting!!!!
Glad you made it safe and sound. My co-workers sister lives in Bradenton and works with horses. She loves going for her yearly visit.😁 Wow! Chef dad's got a great menu going! Crossing all my fingers for you guys with the house! Hope all is going well down there in Florida! We have been trying to relocate down there for a few years and are having issues in the job department...can't even imagine what the house/rental market will be like to tackle!
My bestie lives in Bradenton - always grew up going over to Sarasota/Bradenton since Arcadia is only 45-60 minutes away. Fingers crossed you can find a way to move - would love to get to hang out with you guys!! VLOGMAS CROSSOVER VLOGS! Bahahaha.
DiscoLiz YESS!! That would be awesome! Also, I feel that if all is going according to plan next year, you guys may need to show us the ropes of HHN, since we have never been! 😁
Boiled peanuts in styraphome cups is in your future. Who puts wall to wall carpet in Florida? Publix wrap yummy! I can just tell your house will be beautiful. This just feels right.
It's weird that TX didn't have Publix. We have it in NC and SC. I assume Mike has never lived in FL before? Yuck yes I remember how bad the love bugs were last year. We were at WDW in May and went on our cruise in Sept (port was full of them). Brian says I keep it too cold. At the beach house I keep the AC on 73 during the day and 70 at night. In NC 72 during the day and 70 at night because our office is upstairs and with 2 people working on computers in a small room upstairs it gets too hot at 73. At the beach we work downstairs so it's fine. Crazy it's been 4 years since you've been to your parents house! Nothing's better than your parents cooking for you. I drove to my parent's house in the mountains (5.5 hour drive) by myself last year when Brian was in Bratislava and I got there at 6pm and Mom had made the best home made dinner. So good! I think it was a good idea to buy. Now you won't have to move twice!
I think HEB has the monopoly on Texas, so Publix hasn't bothered. Texans love HEB like I love Publix, so it makes sense. They probably assume they wouldn't do well in the market. Correct - this will be Mike's first time living in Florida! He's prepared to be my frog catcher - as I'm getting used to the idea that I will be moving back to the land of frogs. LOL. You and I would get along just fine. We normally do 74 during the day and 70 at night. But our AC is super efficient (new in 2016), so the 74 feels great as long as I have a ceiling fan. Mike also freezes... too funny! My parents do 76 during the day and 74 at night, so I'm having to acclimate. LOL! And absolutely true - so glad we'll only have to move once!
Good luck with the house! When we were house shopping in Nov/Dec last year in AZ, the market was similar. We were lucky enough to purchase our house before they put it on the market.
Wait, it's only Wednesday ... you confused me for a minute. I love how excited you were leaving Gainsville for your parent's house. You can tell you were happy to be back in Florida for sure. Good luck with the house, will keep our fingers crossed for you guys.
I do not miss those lovebugs! So exciting to be back home and see your parents. Your pops is quite the chef! Things are moving quickly, exciting times Liz!
Thankfully the love bugs seem to have stayed up in North Florida. Haven't spotted many down here!!

Your parents are the cutest! 💕
Agreed!!

It was definitely waaaay too long between visits, thanks to Covid. Everything we had planned got canceled! He definitely makes some delicious food!

My aunt has lived in Lakeland for as long as I've been alive, so I definitely know that area! Now we're almost neighbors! LOL

They are definitely adorable. Such hams!
Woohoo! House hunting in my neck of the woods! That makes me happy ❤️ glad you made it to Arcadia safely.
Yessss. Remind me which suburb you're in??
Boiled peanuts in styraphome cups is in your future. Who puts wall to wall carpet in Florida? Publix wrap yummy! I can just tell your house will be beautiful. This just feels right.
Yessss. I saw boiled peanuts in Lake City and I was tempted...but not great road trip food if you're the driver.

Get used to this modified schedule for a bit - might be 2-3 "weekly" vlog segments per week to work around my parents' VERY slow internet. LOL!
Great video. It was put together very well. Not going to lie, dads food looked great.
Thank you! My dad definitely makes lots of delicious food!
