Springs fountain fresh and clear;
We youth, far and wide arise,
With the rise of the sun.
The soothing breeze around whispers,
Encourages to learn
To drink yet once more

We hold our hands with each other

Summary of the Anthem
Don Bosco College Tura stands on a hillock with the Tura hill at the backdrop. The fresh and clear fountain is the metaphor used to remind that the College is a source of learning and many young people come and drink from this fountain of knowledge and learning. The atmosphere of the College is congenial for education and gently whispers encouraging words to the students like the soothing breeze that blows in the College Campus in the mornings and evenings. The College encourages students to discover themselves and achieve the highest level of learning according to their talents and aptitudes.
The lyric invokes nature a number of times. The clouds remind everyone about their state Meghalaya - the abode of clouds; hills, breeze, stars, not to forget the sun mentioned in the Anthem are all symbolic of the holistic education and the call to ascend, to rise high and achieve excellence. “Pursuit of excellence” is the motto of the College and the Anthem has been built around this motto.
The Chorus celebrates being a BOSCOAN. It asserts the students’ belief in themselves to achieve whatever they wish to achieve. It is also an echo of the saying of St. John Bosco, the founder of Salesians of Don Bosco, who said: “Run, jump, shout, but do not sin.”
