It's not though, is it, it's just narrative over a load of B roll - I unsubscribed because I found the vlogs tedious because of that but this came up, so I thought I'd give it a watch but switched off in less than 5 minutes. Interesting content spoilt with unnecessary overuse of B roll
i went years ago to that train show & we couldnt get out of there fast enough so boring at least we didnt have to pay because we lived in the Bronx but I wasnt impressed or the people with me
Doing Times Square for New Year's Eve was a bucket list item for me. I went with my wife and two of our friends in 2012, and we had a great time--we still talk about it today. Yes, we got there at 11 a.m. and didn't leave until 1 a.m., but we were right in the middle of everything and had the best views. Yes, we wore undergarments, but we planned accordingly and didn't have to use them. And yes, we were packed in at first, but as the day wore on, space opened up here and there and we got to know the people around us. If you're serious about doing it, it takes some commitment, but it's an experience I'll always remember.
In all honesty, I went last year early December, and I would never go at Christmas again - and that's really sad, because I went about 7 years ago and loved it. Forget patient, you honestly can't even walk. Edit: stayed in Astoria, Queens, went to an amazing diner and a Korean BBQ place, and really enjoyed staying there
Planning a trip to NYC immediately after new years to avoid crowds and high prices but maybe still see some last min decor. Would love to know your thoughts on this
I was there at the winter village this week. I might see myself in the background. Just spent an amazing week in the city- I’m leaving tomorrow. I booked my trip in September and that was cutting it close. But still had a great time. 🎉
Coming in a couple of weeks. I took a couple of years off from going in December because I was so annoyed last time. I'm kinda looking forward to the cold and wall to wall crowds
Perfect timing - we're coming from SLC to NYC for Christmas in 3 weeks - first time to New York for myself, wife and younger son (19), but older son (21) has been there once the week before Christmas so he's sort of "guiding us", seems reasonably comfortable that he can navigate us on the subway properly. One question I have would be for people like us who are used to never carrying cash - do we need it for certain things like the shops in Bryant Park? Or are cards generally accepted everywhere touristy? Your videos are awesome - we've been watching them for some time now in preparation for this trip - keep up the great work!
For number three, you should include the Nutcracker at Lincoln Center. And even if you’re not a religious person, I would suggest checking out Precious Blood Church on Baxter Street in Little Italy/Chinatown. They put up a truly amazing Nativity scene.
Great info. Arriving on Wednesday for my 2nd time in NYC, wifes first time. Seeing as we are british we cant wait for the queues 😂 What are some names of the neighborhoods that are similar alternatives to Dyker Heights please? Many thanks
You need to include Papillon. Over the top holiday decorations and good food at a reasonable price. It’s my go to most holidays (never minding I used work half a block from there -now retired). Same with Halloween. Great spot.
Disappointing, but good to know about Rolf's. I'm a first generation American of German parents, living in Orlando, FL. We have an incredible German restaurant about 20 minutes from Orlando. I like to try them in the cities I visit across the country and now I will know to skip this one. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, Jon!
My family rents a sprinter van with friends to drive around dyker heights every year much better than walking. Also I'm born and raised here how the hell did I not know about the stock exchange tree?! 😯
Jon Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family 🦃 Last week I was At Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree ( scaffolding) .This past week Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree ( No scaffolding) Bloomingdals windows is huge with " Wicked". I took some pictures of Plaza Hotel . Louis Vuitton the store is designed like a big chest. Cartier has a nice light display.. The Christmas tree at Fox network is decent. The ornaments across the street decent as well.. Been to Macy's Windows best Windows display numerous times. Dyker Heights my favorite (sorry not yours)been been there twice and will be there multiple times. Cool video 👍🏻
Safety and scams should be the most important thing tourists should worry about. Oh, plus 🏨 prices, they will get you, hahaha 😆 Happy Thanksgiving 🥧🦃🍛 #HereBeBarr

It’s amazing how much content you find and put out, over the years. You and your wife are a very talented bunch. Always entertaining 👍

I am happy you mentioned the Holiday Train Show at the Botanical Garden. It's outstanding

I think CC are widely accepted at the Bryant Park Winter Village. Vendors there could lose valuable business if they don’t accept CC.

I’m a producer so
I understand you waited almost a year to post this …. 😂❤ good job!👏
I was just there on yesterday in that cold rain and to use the bathroom you need to buy something first

Is it even Christmas in NYC if you don’t get hustled by a glowing pedicab charging $10/min for a ‘festive ride’? 😂🚲

NY us no longer the city we remember from the movies, it’s become a 3rd world country
The only honest NYC UA-camr is Cash Jordan.
