Hi I see Mike enjoyed the Spitfire. I bought a mk3 spitfire Jasmine very pale yellow. I still have mine have owned it 23 years now. Keep enjoying yours and don't do what most people do is to sell it and regret it. I can see the passion you have for yours every time you start that engine and drive it. Kev🇬🇧👍
You've got the original radio! Reminds me of my Mk III. Great driving car. Always niggley little things to sort out. Did clutch, overdrive, routine maintenance on mine easy to work on.Found drum brakes a bit fiddly and handbrake a problem. But really fun car on corners.
Ha! Enjoy. Mine are made from the viewpoint of the fun I have with it. I'm no mechanic or car enthusiast. My mum had one when I was a kid and I always wanted my own. Four years on and I don't regret a mile that wasn't attached to a tow rope 😁
I had a Triumph Spitfire I’m pretty sure it was a mark 4 though it certainly didn’t have a wood effect dash. On reflection I reckon it should have a roll bar for safety reasons
I was unfortunate to own one of these for a couple of years, they are without doubt the biggest Peices of crap ever to be put on a British road, it was another death trap off the road the day it was crushed

He did, so much so he's going to get his running again. I can't see me parting with mine either, you are right about the passion!

Radio isn't original? But yeah, what fantastic fun cars they are to drive! But always some fettling to be done
Is the speedo not working. Exhaust looks a bit rich but sounds good.
No, it's dead. I just can't get things leaner but it does sound great doesn't it 😁
I’m thinking of buying a spit, really really tempted - hence I’m on UA-cam at midnight looking at them 😂

Lovely car
Oh it so is, such fun to drive with the roof down!
sounds great!
Oh she does! Proper lovely rumble. So much better in real life especially when you stick your foot down!
@@Codbotherer what engine is in it?
@@marcelsmodels 1500. I blew the 1300 up 😂
@@Codbotherer oh wow, that must’ve been an experience, anyway a chance for more power

Some MKIV's had black vinyl dashes - my mum's did. Roll bars will break your neck in an impact on these (apparently)
@@Codbotherer Food for thought I guess
@@joebloggs4807 or for the crows!

You've clearly not seen some of the other crap we've made 🤣
Just try an allegro before you say that
Too much wind noise to hear any conversation.
Yeah. That's the beauty of them.
