amazing to see it come together. I've watched a couple of your videos painting Highlands cows . they are lovely. I really want to paint one and have been a bit nervous where to start. your videos are really helping. thank you.
@Aaron de la Haye - Artist thank you for that. I've started painting one and the fur just didn't look right. I couldn't seem to get the flow of the hairs right. it ended up looking like a striped cow!!! lol. so I painted over it and want to start again. I was wondering what would be the best brush to attempt the hair, maybe I've been using the wrong brush!!!
@@paulawicker1834 there's not really a right or wrong brush I'm my opinion. It's more finding what works for you. Generally speaking though, something with long (ish) bristles, that's flexible. If you're using acrylics, add a little water to your paint and that will help with the "flow" of the hair
@Aaron de la Haye - Artist thank you for your feed back. really appreciate it. I went and got myself some brushes like yours. graduate by daler rowney. at the moment I'm using the one they call " sword ". Great brush and excellent price. I'm using acrylics. not brave enough for oils!! lol. so I've made a start and following your helpful guidelines. fingers crossed it turns out as good as yours ( well don't think it will lol) yor art is amazing
Promised to draw a Highland cow on my mother's wall. Drew it then thought oh I've no idea how to paint the hair in a 3d way. So this is great thank you.
