5:27 Why would the driver of the car have even had it in reverse while stopped at a red light in the first place? What possible reason would there be to even touch the gear shifter?
To me it looks like the jeep was almost on the line. So maybe the car in front of them almost run the red, decided to stop, waited for a while and during the clip decided it would be best to reverse to clear the intersection.
13:00 maybe I'm in the minority opinion for saying this considering I dont see any comments about it yet, but why are you being annoying and staying right behind the dude that just wants to pass in the left lane? He was very clearly tailgating the dude hogging the left and you chose to drive just behind them. You're just as much a problem as the left lane hog
YEAH. lane hogging is actually illegal in most places. He was the as*hole in this situation if you ask me. The other driver was rather agressive with it, but I would be too if someone was being a cuñt in front me
But did anyone have blinkers on? I don't think they did. Blinkers exist to indicate one's intention. The cars on the left can also slow down in order to get out of a predicament. From the cammer's perspective it sort of seemed they were quite happy to be where they were. So, he may not have been very attentive to their potential desires but it's not like they themselves were doing anything to get out their situation or even indicate that they wanted to.
The idiot cammer from the 12:18 clip doesn't know how to drive, imagine being insane enough to cross over from the inside lane of a roundabout to your outlet road. Blaming the Tesla guy was funny though
It is a two lane roundabout, you are allowed to go straight while in the left lane. In fact MOST people go straight and only turn if they need to. Also, the road markings clearly indicate that you can turn left or go straight, the tesla failed to yield to the traffic in the roundabout. You need to learn how roundabouts work. You NEVER assume that the car will turn because you get situations like this. To be safe you should always assume they will go straight and only go if it is safe to do so.
It is actually legal though, you can see the signs on the road itself in the clip, right lane has to exit and left lane either exits or goes left on the roundabout
Yeah as nimrod said, theres nothing illegal or insane about what the cammer did. You're supposed to yield to cars already in the roundabout to avoid exactly this type of scenario....
9:25 What I dont understand is that, they pulled into the lane, heard the horn, then STOPPED. They would've been ok if they slammed on the gas, to get in front of the other car, but insted they stop. "Well I guess they'll just hit me"
probably just panicked? when i was learning to drive my instinct when i was unsure was to go slow. (dont worry my instructor trained me out of that fast). ofc that can be incredibly dangerous, but it doesn't change the fact that slamming on the brakes in an emergency feels more intuitive than accelerating.
Good driving advice is if you want someone to slam on the brakes, honk your horn. If you want them to keep going, don't honk. It's an instinctive response to hit the brakes when you get honked at.
7:40 it could be the clutch. Reverse has the lowest gears, so usually when a clutch burns out it loses the highest gears first. This may have been the only gear he could get to respond.
cammer at 4:25 had three business day to slow tf down, they weren't even tailing the white car and they still hit it! that takes talent. Yeah maybe the white car shouldn't have fully stopped, but come ON!!! that's ridiculous.
After seeing that turn signal on for that long, defensive driving would cause me to slow down and tap the brakes until I knew what the other driver was up to. As soon as that car hit the brakes the first time I knew it was going to do something stupid.
5:10 The way I was yelling PULL OVER and the cammer just kept driving. I don't care if he was perfectly fine to keep driving but the fact that they didn't even pull over to assess pisses me off.
I live in Texas and I love it here, but this state is full of uninsured drivers (it’s legal) who will never pay a dime for damage they cause. So come prepared with the right insurance coverage.
@@petethecommie I like how you finish with "Come prepared" as if the first half of your reply didn't just solidify my desire to never go to Texas. But thanks for the advice!
There was still a bit of lane left to where the white Camry could've kept going as the merging lane was long enough for doing so, but other than that, cammer was not paying attention ahead of them which puts them partially at fault for the accident.
@@jovo55 Yes there is no yield sign, but merging traffic has to yield to the highway traffic. what do you want? someone to just dart onto the highway? this is just horribly designed

5:05 is the scariest type of situation. I'm fortunate enough to live with my mom so I could quit my job landscaping as soon as this sudden "sleepiness" issue emerged. I nearly had two accidents in the same day. Being a few years even younger then, I had no clue how suddenly a moment can blink away if you're sleepy behind the wheel. I hadn't developed a respect for it. Interestingly, I was still getting full hours of sleep, but that week of work was particularly brutal - with consistent 12-hour shifts and wet conditions that made cutting grass more tedious and tiring. It's unfortunate, I think, that the average American has no choice but to get behind a wheel to work virtually any job in the States... such that you ought to have a frantic addiction to caffeine to maintain yourself during these heavy work weeks But I'll never drive sleepy again - which sounds almost comedic when compared to the klutzing effect of alcohol, but makes the warning *that much more important.* Stay safe everyone!
Most people who get dashcams end up in accidents shortly after buying one, I'm afraid to buy one at this point even though lol. Never been in an accident driving yet but I just ordered one, if I end up in an accident within a month i'm calling it now.
9:23 Bikers call it "the sense," you are just becoming more adept at reading the indications someone is about to do something without seeing them actually do it or acknowledge they are via signaling to protect yourself. This a good thing, it means you are maturing as a driver.
I work for amazon, and god I wish we had dashcams. Because the stuff I see at work everyday is intense. A lot of people don't understand our vans have huge blind spots, and need to reverse into people's driveways. You have no idea how many times I've turned left, to reverse into a driveway on the right, and someone tries to pass me when I got my blinker on to signify and then turn on my hazards to show I'm about to do a maneuver.

7:20 His flux capacitor malfunctioned, causing him to move backwards through time relative to everyone else. From his point of view he's driving forwards.
1:02. That's literally 1/4 of a mile from my house. I avoid that section because there used to be four lanes and a central turn lane. They started "improving" the road this spring and promptly removed the turn lane and one of the travel lanes.
8:17 if cammer was paying attention, she'd realize that the other side is getting a little backed up because of this one person trying to turn. the person in front was being courteous and trying to keep traffic flowing.
Yep, car in front slowed down deliberately, I'm sure they were checking their mirror while doing so, and helped clear the traffic in the opposite lane. My guess is cammer is too self absorbed to think that far ahead. Even the comment is vomitingly self righteous.
12:37 I live in that area, I guess I figured out why the road was full of glass and skid marks, lol ps: that little intersection is one of the most dangerous and accident prone in the area
4:14 - Both. You can't stop in the middle of the road, but you also can't tailgate. This person was far too close to begin with. If you're going to check your blind spot, you need to ensure there's enough space in front of you that if the preceding car slams on it's brakes, you have plenty of time to notice and react. STOP TAILGATING!
4:28 unfortunately I agree with your insurance had you focused on her and listened to your instincts you would have stopped, honked and she would be the dummy, not her and you with a new higher premium. 1:27 Dude, that driver saved you from being the one in the crash, but of course, that flies over your head.
I'm sure the other driver sacrificed himself to save the dashcam vehicle. What a hero.
If you think those were the intentions of the driver then you are delusional and need your license revoked.
@@breadboy193 Nobody said it was the intention of the other driver. It's more of a "His actions stopped you from getting hit, so isn't that cool for you, at least, now that you're not hit?" type of scenario. Not all things that annoy people are bad for them.
@@101Volts Yeah, I don't understand the two comments before yours. If the cammer went into the left lane going the speed he was going, he would've got t-boned instead. I guess people aren't as bright.
8:16 The roads aren't all yours. Think emphatically a bit and just look at the line on the other side. You are saving hours of people's time and preventing potential traffic queues just by sacrificing seconds of yours.
Edit: That was an illegal turn though lol
I was looking for a comment highlighting this, she is just impatient. Plenty of room in front of her to slow down and she just didn't like the fact she had to. The entitlement shows, especially since she submitted it to Dashcam Nation as if the car yielding to let the other turn was an idiot 😂. Hope she sees this comment.
That illegal turn was where I was going to go.
What is illegal about the turn?
Is it illegal though? I guess it's technically since it's a double yellow? But people do that all the time, cops never enforce it and honestly half the time the city just doesn't bother trying to paint line breaks where they should. If you refuse to cross a yellow line ever, you're going to get stuck a lot while driving
@@reverseplant5834 Nothing illegal about the turn. Because it was a double yellow line? You are allowed to make a left turn across a double yellow line.
2:03 So I can throw out my license, cancel my insurance and crash cars like I'm in GTA... and there's nothing anyone can do about it? Awesome! I know how I'm driving from now on! 👍
6:26 Gotta love some old school Cypress Hill
Sure, but how does he know that was an old lady?
@@dalegreer3095 Guessing he could, you know, see her thorugh the windows of her car with his eyes? 🤣
3:03 when the little girl asks if the guy (i'm assuming it's her dad) is ok, that was so sweet
7:38 I wonder if he is driving backwards in a fault-state…? Is he trying to commit insurance fraud in the most obvious way possible? My brain hurts after watching that one over 3 times in a row…
Pay no mind, Twas but Merlin Ambrosius, living his life backwards to our perception of time.
1:13
Dude: WoAH!
Radio: "Oh, shit." His heart was pounding.
Yes. Yes it was.
Wow, it’s scary how so few people understand that you can watch out for others to do things and can use your brakes.
The idiot cammer from the 12:18 clip doesn't know how to drive, imagine being insane enough to cross over from the inside lane of a roundabout to your outlet road. Blaming the Tesla guy was funny though
Yup. Never change lanes in a roundabout.
Drive carefully, folks. Accidents like these are a reminder.
We should stop calling this drivers idiots.
Instead call them what they realy are.
Criminally negligent.
2:27 Unlicensed driver who furthermore did not have a license. How profound, Mr. Wizard!
12:20 That’s why you use your turn signal at the roundabout like YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO!
What dash cam is the person 1:54 using. Crazy amount of information.
bro was in a mobile game
10:43 I knew they were real!!!
"This accident was caused by an unlicensed driver. Furthermore, the driver did not have a license..."
Oooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Is that what happened?
That bouquet of mattresses is both scary and funny.
Whoa that overlay at 2:00 is cool!
6:30 "Old lady needed to get over but I am too big of a jerk to let that happen without drama."
6:30
Cammer got a little excited over this.
If it was closer, I get it. Some go crazy over little things like that.
After seeing that turn signal on for that long, defensive driving would cause me to slow down and tap the brakes until I knew what the other driver was up to. As soon as that car hit the brakes the first time I knew it was going to do something stupid.
Don't unlicensed drivers causing wrecks go to jail? Practically attempted murder
The trucker at 9:57 couldn’t see the long stretch of traffic from the height of his cab? 😅
maybe a brake failure? or transmission failure? or maybe he just wasn't paying attention
3:55 they are listening to The Midnight and that got more of a reaction out of me than the footage lmao cammer has good taste 👌🏽😍
7:20 - If it weren't a transmission problem, it will be in a few minutes.
I don't understand why they didn't just break and call a tow truck if it was that bad.
@@nimrod812 Tow truck costs $80 and takes three hours to show up on a good day. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
5:50 No good deed goes unpunished!
the 285th rule of acquisition
5:10 The way I was yelling PULL OVER and the cammer just kept driving. I don't care if he was perfectly fine to keep driving but the fact that they didn't even pull over to assess pisses me off.
You know.... the more I watch these, the more I have no desire to travel to Texas if I am going to be driving a car there.
If I ever have the misfortune to be in Texas I will make sure to stay as far as possible from roads (which is impossible cause if there's one thing Texas loves more than it's state flag, its infrastructure for cars). But thanks for the advice!
That 376EHZ guy, though! Gotta LOVE Indiana drivers, don’tcha think? 😒
Honk to alert others of danger. You don't need to honk continuously after the danger is cleared.
1:48 That curb has enough rubber on it to make another tire.
4:10 Cammer was clearly the idiot, it's a yield situation so of course the car in front has to wait for a gap to merge in to.
There was still a bit of lane left to where the white Camry could've kept going as the merging lane was long enough for doing so, but other than that, cammer was not paying attention ahead of them which puts them partially at fault for the accident.
It's not even a yield situation, you are supposed to speed up to merge onto the highway not come to a complete stop to make merging impossible
@@jovo55 Yes there is no yield sign, but merging traffic has to yield to the highway traffic. what do you want? someone to just dart onto the highway? this is just horribly designed
@@Dan-et2gj Do you have no idea how to drive? When approaching the highway you speed up the same speed as the highway traffic and merge in between traffic if there is traffic is there, literally the definition of merging, "move from one lane into a gap in the traffic in another lane" it is not hard to do
if it was a yield situation, where would the sign be?
5:05 is the scariest type of situation. I'm fortunate enough to live with my mom so I could quit my job landscaping as soon as this sudden "sleepiness" issue emerged. I nearly had two accidents in the same day.
Being a few years even younger then, I had no clue how suddenly a moment can blink away if you're sleepy behind the wheel. I hadn't developed a respect for it.
Interestingly, I was still getting full hours of sleep, but that week of work was particularly brutal - with consistent 12-hour shifts and wet conditions that made cutting grass more tedious and tiring. It's unfortunate, I think, that the average American has no choice but to get behind a wheel to work virtually any job in the States... such that you ought to have a frantic addiction to caffeine to maintain yourself during these heavy work weeks
But I'll never drive sleepy again - which sounds almost comedic when compared to the klutzing effect of alcohol, but makes the warning *that much more important.* Stay safe everyone!
4:40 - why on EARTH would you STOP like that when going onto a freeway????
7:20 Okay ngl that kind of reversing takes skill
Nice video. Good job buddy
12:32 wtf do people think they're accomplishing by taking down license plate numbers in a situation like this?
4:40 It was her in my opinion, plenty wide enough shoulder to stop on, there was absolutely no reason to just stop on the on-ramp
"If it fits, it ships" I'm keeping that line.
Most people who get dashcams end up in accidents shortly after buying one, I'm afraid to buy one at this point even though lol. Never been in an accident driving yet but I just ordered one, if I end up in an accident within a month i'm calling it now.
UFO turned into a unidentified driving object
9:23 Bikers call it "the sense," you are just becoming more adept at reading the indications someone is about to do something without seeing them actually do it or acknowledge they are via signaling to protect yourself. This a good thing, it means you are maturing as a driver.
I can tell you're passionate about what you do.
My very first time on a highway, a wheelbarrow flew out of someone's truck bed & i had to swerve to avoid. People need to tie their stuff down better!
See the notification, instant press.
12:25 That last honk was totally unnecessary. Horn is to warn, not to scorn.
"This accident was caused by an unlicensed driver. Furthermore, the driver did not have a license". lmfaooooooo
3:50 that entire thing was just a shitshow
I work for amazon, and god I wish we had dashcams. Because the stuff I see at work everyday is intense. A lot of people don't understand our vans have huge blind spots, and need to reverse into people's driveways. You have no idea how many times I've turned left, to reverse into a driveway on the right, and someone tries to pass me when I got my blinker on to signify and then turn on my hazards to show I'm about to do a maneuver.
3:23 Sounds like somebody really straining to push one out on the toilet!
4:54 I feel for you, guy. I have the same affliction where if I am really tired my brain will just shut off and my eyes will slam shut instantly. No warning, just power off!
9:30 you honks. I stops. 😂
0:20: (in his worst Barney Fife impression) YA CAN'T DEW THAT!
0:41: I didn't know they made a Reliant Robin semi.
1:45: Probably took them about 15 seconds to realize they'd been hit by a truck. xD
Guy at 2:08 must've been in a hurry.
9:06: Suddenly, NASCAR.
5:05 - That's sleep deprivation, not exhaustion.
3:20 the exit-seeking van basically never used his brakes. I saw one brief flash of brake lights, but that's it. Are people no aware that their vehicles can slow down before making dangerous turns?
7:20 His flux capacitor malfunctioned, causing him to move backwards through time relative to everyone else. From his point of view he's driving forwards.
2:05 this video was taken on my birthday.
1:58 what camera setup is this?
I made some really dumb mistakes as my first day being an Uber Eats driver and now I'm scared I'll end up in one of these.
12:37 I live in that area, I guess I figured out why the road was full of glass and skid marks, lol
ps: that little intersection is one of the most dangerous and accident prone in the area
Stay safe out there. She's dumb but you had the final say on the collision, all in all no one seems hurt and thats all we can be grateful for.
Hey man, cammer here, thank you for this really kind and understanding comment. It is what it is, I rear-ended her so it's my fault, I'm getting my truck back from the shop today so I'm ready to put this nightmare behind me (at least until I get my next insurance bill...) Neither of us were hurt so it could have been way worse.
@@horn3t_00 And that's exactly the focus you both walked away with minimal physical injury and that's the best out come from a collision. Life is full of lessons, I believe you have already learned from this experience, so stay safe.
