I am going to make a suggestion, Typically when Simon is stuck I mentally tell him to do sudoku; for the topology videos I'm going to suggest that if you get stuck or not sure what to look at to check your boxes again. You could have used a 45 pair earlier to at least eliminate an option for another cell.

This is definitely a good thing I've started doing more as I go along, but it should just be my default!

Hi, loved your videos about primes, PNT, zeta function and the basel problem in zetamath channel. Every video is extraordinaly well explained and inspiring. Will you make more videos in the future?

That's the plan! They take a lot of time from my husband who does the animations!

@zetamathdoespuzzles So happy to hear this! Looking forward to them. Going to study maths in university starting next autumn.

I feel that is a checklist that you almost have to do at the beginning of each shape: How many of each digit are there, Are there equal amounts of each digit, Are there any "hidden boxes" that are forced to contain each digit once each. Without these some puzzles feel impossible.

This reminds me of when Simon asks, "how many 3's are there in columns 2 and 3 in this sudoku?". Not such a silly question now.

I do often do this internally (sometimes out loud) but I don't have the intuition to answer "does every digit occur the same number of times" on most grids. I suppose I could phrase it as something like "Are there a set of disjoint regions that cover the nodes?" as a one directional test at least.

@@zetamathdoespuzzles How about "Is there a set of any N regions that collectively cover every node k times, where k divides N*[max digit]?" :-)
