I watched this segment awhile ago and felt genuinely shooketh, I rewatched it now and just think that though it was an interesting concept it doesn't make sense. I mean he survived maybe in the past probably because he was just as attractive as them yet he got older, fatter and quickly met his doom. So assuming humans age normally in this segment everyone would sooner or later die? Unless the cycle similar to ours in reality would've kept renewing itself.
i think it was Brave New World or some dystopian scifi had a rule that anyone older than 30 was considered too old to be allowed to live. and i think dead sound's Autodale series had similar idea too. and a lot of older authors never expected a future where having children would become a personal liability outside general fears of overpopulation and instead expected any future good or bad to allow room for having children as early as possible for maintaining the population and accommodate for short lifespans or very very long retirements
Sad thing is I was able to point out a few others in this segment that also looked rather average. I guess the phone scan thing goes off of weight and possibly wrinkles.
It's like the end of Pink Floyd's The Wall, he's guilty for feeling, as well as being human, and being real. Also the speech in black mirror about how we can't handle realness relates to this. We either can march on forward to a Brave New World or return to the Island... our original tribal state.
People wondering how this guy survived in this world, I get the feeling this might be a different city or even just a store for “perfect” people like the ones seen here. It could be he wanted desperately, and foolishly be a part of their Utopia, so he decided to step in and hope he’d be ok. Probably a parody of classism.
This segment was the most frightening. Not because of the video itself; it's because shit like this is happening right now. A vast Utopian society with lack of diversity, only one way of thinking, no asking questions or questioning authority, going as skin deep as to terminate those with minor differences to keep the equilibrium going. The obsession of beauty only being one standard has only become a standard, not a feeling. What's fucked up the most is that when the guy is being incinerated there is no emotion, no remorse, no guilt. Humanitarianism in this (could be a thing one day) would no longer exist. This is just a reminder that beuaty, thoughts, and personality are way more than skin deep.
A few of the Utopians do not smile when the Category 6 is incinerated or when the crowd is clapping, so it seems a few Utopians do not like this aspect of their "Utopia" but keep appearances to stay alive.
His stats were not up to the utopian society standard's : For example his body fat percentage, etc. This is freaking me out. Nazi Germany comes into my mind when I see this video.
Basically, it's set in a world where everyone is attractive, handsome and beautiful. But, that man didn't have one of those flaws, making him a sub-norm. Which is another way of saying he's ugly. So the robot pulled the sub-norm into the inside of it, and burnt him to crisp. Everyone applauded because he and his ugliness is no more. So basically, this short shows what society wants us to be like. This usually happens to girls, but boys feel like they look ugly as well. I'm not that attractive looking but do I care? Fuck no! Because I am a human like everyone else in this world.
@@thomasbutter6809 thanks because people consider me to be beautiful but I'm not even stuck up or anything I love different people and actually date average looking as well it's not true everyone who has beautiful features isn't an evil person society is just filled with nasty people who don't know how to be humans.
Whats more, have you read the analyzes they say subnormal, well the fuck if a hypertonicly overreacting disstressed guy is under the norm, wtf is the norm? Makes no sense
If you pause when the machine analyse him, you can see that the machine analyse is facial appearance, is level of fat, etc... In other world, whether he is or not too "ugly".
Also known as high school.
😂 true
Seriously how’d the guy make five feet out of his house?
This along with,Deloused, Falling, Head Games, Questionnaire, Wish, Xylophone, Youth, and Zygote were honestly the best shorts of this movie
Badger was also really good, too.

I can’t stop watching these
In the age of social media where we're all being shamed into 'normality', lets hope this isn't a prophecy.
Is this what defying a perfect society leads to? What a burn out!
PUN CITY! (Vat 19 reference)

this is how it feels to be an average looking person on instagram 😅

I'm guessing this "U" monopoly doesn't sponsor hair transplants.
how did that guy survived that long to begin with, let alone, land a job.
ikr?
That's what I was wondering? In a society like that you'd think they'd kill him on site
Yeah, this is an interesting idea for sure, but it definitely leaves you with a lot of questions.
Maybe he wasn't fat and clumsy before

You spelled beauty wrong

Get a grip 😂
Voltaire is in one of these
Me recuerda al capitulo "smeethereen de black mirror
I really hope this isn't what 2030s gonna look like.
Taking "die in a fire" literally...
If all the women wore no make-up, they would have be burnt, too.
but they are utopian
What to do that men for die of that way.
Why did the robot killed him?
because he was sub human. he didnt take care of himself like everyone else did
His stats were not up to the utopian society standard's : For example his body fat percentage, etc. This is freaking me out. Nazi Germany comes into my mind when I see this video.
Because he is ugly.Look at other people they're just beatiful. And they doesnt want this poor guy. :( Utopia is so sick..
This like in north korean country
Body&Face shaming also by bullies
Oh shut up
Have you considered perhaps he had bad vibes?
Such as?
Le society 😔😔
I’m confused

I just really wanna see "Z is for ztupid"...
Best way to slow down crime rates
So...where were the beautiful people?
It was the man who sadly, was burnt
what did he have to die?
Because he's is ugly for the society

This is black rock want to be
I dont get it
Lauch_TV they killed him because he was ugly
He wasn't 'beautiful' like the rest of them so he had to be eliminated.
Thats like... easily avoidable design?
