This is so weird. I used to write, and I started dating my late husband when I was 14. He died when I was 28, and when I was cleaning out our closets, I remember thinking of a concept for a story where I could tell the story of a long term relationship from the perspective of packing away things after the spouse died. Like, you start out with the grieving widow sitting in this mess of a closet, things everywhere and she grabs a pair of shoes and you are instantly thrown into the story, of the couple at age 16, when he would wear those shoes to mow the lawn and use that descriptive introduction to describe key points of the story/relationship from that time period and then going back to the grieving widow and to a sweater he wore when they were 19 and in college and basically use different items to transport you to different parts of their story, the good and the bad. The shoes and the TikTok just really reminded me of this concept I had and never fully wrote because I really stopped writing after he died. It sounds super lame writing it out now but it really was a cool concept in my head lol it would just take way too long to really fully describe.
I think it’s a great concept, he would probably love for you to move forward with it to keep your memories alive in your writing in addition to your heart
