If you wanna catch the soul of Kim Larsen, you have to understand the youth rebel back in 1968 - he was one of the musicians who came out of that. He formed the band called Gasolin, very popular during the 70's and they had many catchy songs with storng lyrics. after Gasolin died he went on, as a solo entertainer, and with some different bands - His music speaks to the danish soul, because he touches every day life, feelings and so on. 2 songs I will recommend is - This is my life, and Som et strejf af en dråbe - really strong lyrics in both songs, which is able to touch even the most stoneguarde heart and soul :-)
just a little addition to my first comment - Som et strejf af en dråbe is obviously in danish, but I've heard your danish so im confident in you will catch this one to the fullest.

I saw him three times in Tivoli where he performed. It was always a special feeling because it was like you could feel the love for Kim Larsen from the other people around there. I have never felt that at any other concerts. And by the way, Kim Larsen was not just another artist, he was a national treasure, a hero that was the voice of the weak in society, and he never wanted to live like a rich person even though he was a millionaire. He even gave money to other artists if they were down on their luck. He was one in a million, and no one will ever be able to replace him! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You need to hear Shu-bi-dua also with “Danmark” eller “midsommer sangen” Om lidt with Kim Larsen are often used at funials, when the ⚰️ are taken out of the church You should hear Kims first band Gasolin with the song-“ this is my life”
One Kim Larsen song that sticks with me, personally, is the rendition he did of Nordahl Grieg's poem "Kringsat av fiender/ Til Ungdommen" (the song is called "682 A", after it's placement in the "højskolesangbogen"..won't try to translate that ;) )
Nice. Norwegian poet (Grieg), Danish composer (Mortensen). The song was frequently used in memorial gatherings after the terror attacks where 77 people were killed in 2011. My personal favourite; ua-cam.com/video/_EvhUAIb4jw/v-deo.html

I really like "midt om natten" both the song and the movie. I think it describes the theme of Kim Larsen. As he says in an interview "When you Discover something is wrong in the society you say hey this is not right, let's be fair, let's just try to get things in the proper place. That does not mean that you want a better World, you just want the World you live in to be fairly fair." HTTPS://UA-cam.com/watch?v=bYxaqWarHE
@SevelRomanov If by "misunderstood" you mean its use at funerals as referred in another comment, then I think you are not entirely right. As many other great songs, it can be understood in layers, and whereas the direct interpretation (and its use in Cirkus Himmmelblå) is of course correct, there can be little doubt that at the same time the song functions on a deeper layer as a song about life and its end. The line dancer is actually not a new motif for this - Nietzsche used the same metaphor of a line dancer to illustrate the frailty of human existence in "Also sprach Zarathustra".
Kelly, you are doing an awesome job, it is inspiring. I am Danish expat (in Japan) and thinking about youtubing and vloging about it thanks to you. Btw I always find it interesting how Danes are perceived. Your Danish is awesome btw!
By the way - Kim Larsen is the one who caught the danish soul, but you should also try to find Lars Lilholt - C.V. Jørgensen he made really strong lyrics, Sebastian, and try to find some old Shubidia all of them was very popular here in Denmark and the last band named, just had a lot of fun, and their concerts was a gigantic feast where everybody enjoyed themselves - female singers of course Lis Sørensen, Sanne Salomonsen and Anne Linnet - they all made catchy songs and really strong and deep lyrics :-)
I used to listen to Kim Larsen a lot when I was a kid. Later I listened to Gasolin. Although I stopped actively listening to his music, many many of his songs will continue to have a special meaning to me, and if they are played I will listen.
Jutlandia is a song we normally have in music on the schools in the smaller class so maybe that's why your kids are singing it😁💞 I actually grew up with hi's nephew so I have see him a lot of times and there was nothing like to sit outside around the fireplace and listened to him singing ❤🙏 RIP Kim!🙏💜❤
"Flyvende sommer" litteraly means "flying summer", but actually it means spiders flying by letting the wind grab a long thread. Kjukken was Kim Larsen's backing band.
I'm from the 70's - so Kim Larsen, Shu-bi-dua, Gnags, Rocazino and many other great danish musicans - is some I grow up with. My favorites of Kim Larsen is: Jutlandia (I love history). But I also love he's older songs.
Hi Kelly I really like your videos I realize new things about Denmark every time even though i'm a dane. I am also a fan of Kim Larsen. Do u know Shu-bi-dua also? Have a good time😉

I learned most of the danish lyrics to Kim Larsen's "Midt om natten" album while playing them on my guitar, when I first came to Vesterbro, Denmark in 1987. Papirsklip, Susan Himmelblå, Midt om Natten, Haveje, etc... I've also seen him in concert, good musician. Everyone in the audience sang along. Jutlandia is a good song.
Kim Larsen tried to make a career in US with "Jungle Dreams" and "Sitting on a Time Bomb". Americans did not react positively to that. He was also a member of Gasolin. Hard not to mention "Kvinde min". My favourite is "Masser af succes".
imo alot of the charm of Kim Larsen was his lyrics and since his english was, less then good, to put it mildly. It is understanderble that his attempt in the US went badly. When a major part of your style/career is based on "playing" with words then it requere an strong mastery of the language you white in. And Kim truly showed this in Danish
One of my favourite songs from Kim Larsen is "Flyvere i natten"! When you hear it try to think of the period of the cold war when the song was written.
“Om lidt” has been played at just about every single funeral I’ve been to My favourite is “kringsat af fjender”, it’s not his though, but he translated it into Danish and it was played alot when the Ütøya shootings had just happened in Norway
For me is, "Kim Larsen and Bellami - Mrs. Sauterne" is the best song. I know what a Sauterne it is, but you can interpret a song as you like. Kim also sings "Den Allersidste Sang" which is from the movie “Mød Mig På Cassiopeia (1951)”. This song will always live in my heart. Watch Paul Richard sing it here: ua-cam.com/video/s7WnfDYLHP0/v-deo.html Another song that, well, a million Danes can sing - is this one. "Flintesønnerne (1956) - Du er min øjesten" . Link: ua-cam.com/video/oo0zJaIbVzo/v-deo.html
"The last Jim" is imho the best song (melody) Kim Larsen's first band (and Larsen in general) ever made. Only music, no lyrics. It always reminds me of "Air on a G String" by Bach (🤔). He never again made anything like it. It's a hidden gem. It really pulls on my heart strings... Find it on Spotify.
He also played in a more hard rock band before he went solo. The bands name where GASOLIN!! Give it a try Maybe ua-cam.com/video/Ommkjxfj4EE/v-deo.html This is a newer version with an ageing mr. Larsen and not the gasolin band, but there songs.
shortly it will be quiet shortly it's over did you see what you wanted did you hear your melody abandoned and alone the circus princess dances around stopping ... on her line in a senseless second shortly shortly we are gone we might might again shortly it will be quiet shortly it's over did you see what you wanted did you hear your melody shortly shortly we are gone we might meet again in a little while we are gone we might meet again
You should give "Værsgo" a try, Larsens first solo album from 1973...its 46 like me...I love all the songs and know them by heart, I sang along, you cant help it
Jutlandia Versions: #1#2#3 It was in the year of 1949 or something like that When Korea was in war The ship was named Jutlandia and it got far and wide 'Cause Korea was in war Equipped from the basement to the hall As a floating hospital Hey ho For Jutlandia She came as if called for the battle Home is the hunter Returned from the hunt And the sailor returned from the sea When the boys are going to war, the girls sail by To the red cross painted ships And Lillili Marlen sings Auf wiedersehen (See you later) When they're falling in a row The canons are playing first violin Come on soldier Sing along to the melody Hey ho For Jutlandia She came as if called for the battle Home is the hunter Returned from the hunt And the sailor returned from the sea (Interlude) She sails through the night, with all of her kids Alive and dead White like a maiden And brave like an eagle She meets the war 16 years old nurses Are taking care of the soldiers wounds Hey ho For Jutlandia She came as if called for the battle Home is the hunter Returned from the hunt And the sailor returned from the sea Hey ho For Jutlandia She came as if calleorthe battle Home is the hunter Returned from the hunt And the sailor returned from sea.
You must listen to The Danish band Shubidua.....it. Doesnt Get more Danish than That....( the lyrics are important and all us Danes knows Them and Can sing along ) love Your videos 🤩🤩🤩
"In a moment all will be still, in a moment all is gone, did you see all you wanted and did you get to hear lifes song". That first line alone gets me everytime! I find alot of Kim Larsens music quite simple - I cant find the right word to describe it and this may sound negative but it really isnt meant so, but its like "naivisticly simple with lyrically simple yet beautiful depth". No flamboyance, no unneccesary notes or words, no trying to impress. Just easy, simple, to the point and for all to enjoy and understand. I think that is why danes across generations for more than 50 years have embraced him. He was/is quintessentially danish🤗 I do prefer the music of his first band "Gasolin" though, but then I am a bit of hippie at heart😉2 Kim Larsen songs stand out for me and they are "Om lidt bliver her stille (the song from where the translated line comes from) and "This is my life". The lyrics of both are beautiful.
Ok I cant help myself, this is for all who are not danish and are interested in understanding the danish way of life. Its all there in these Kim Larsen lyrics🤗🤝😍: This is my life This is my time You show me the light And I go there. Give me the wine Bitter and sweet And a little bit of bread That's all I need. No, I don't want the gold from Xanadu I think I'll leave it all to you This is my life and I don't care. This is my street, Are you restless feet Carry me on to anywhere. Take the fear Take it away And give me some hope For one more day. I saw a ghost behind the door When the kids were coming home from the war With broken dreams and nothing more. I heard a woman singing her song And it was good and warm and strong She made me cry I don't know why. I don't want to bring you down I think it's good to be here This is my life and I don't care!
Just for the record. My favorite emotional songs i american is "In the Ghetto", "Crazy after all these years", "The wonderfull soupstone" and "Phantom 309" (that me cry allmost every time). Of cause there are many more, but these are from my more sentimental choises. Talking about Kim Larsen you ought to try to listen to his "Gasolin" periode. Songs like "Mig og mine venner" and "Rabalderstræde" are some of my favorites. Gasolin was the band where he started as a leadsinger and is possibly the most popular band in the last fifty years
@@MyNewDanishLife Midt om natten is quite good and also shows Denmark in 1984. Some other fun danish movies are Olsen banden from the 70s. I am sure your husband knows all about them too. :)
Kim Larsen har hovedrollen i "midt om natten" Filmen har mange ligheder med hvordan Christiania blev grundlagt af hippier og bz'er og folk udenfor det etablerede samfund.
You can buy the live album En Lille Pose Støj and you will have a ton of great Kim Larsen songs...... including Kringsat af Fjender, my personal favorite...... it is a posm that he convertef into a song.
The Sunday KL died, U2 was performing in Herning. They picked up the grief amongst their local Danish crew and asked around about Larsen. Led to U2 doing this during their show: ua-cam.com/video/siuOOvVj0vs/v-deo.html I'm eternally grateful to U2 for this now. Some have criticized it as fake homage, but I really don't care. I personally needed that that particular Sunday.
I guess I was breastfedwith Kim Larsen music as a chield, but its hard to listen to Om Lidt after it was played at my grand dad funeral back in 1999. Some of my favorite Kim Larsen songs include Kvinde Min, Masser af succes, Hvad gør vi nu lille du and This is my life. U2 quoted line from that song on the night of Kim Larsen passing away in the royal arena in copenhagen
Hi you should also react to some other Danish bands like “Bamses venner”, Lars Lilholt, Shubidua and Gnags. But other great Kim Larsen songs are: Papirsklip, Syd for Køge, Tarzan Mammamia, Den gang da jeg var lille, Haveje, Midt om natten.
Personly I like Gasolin better, (the protest rockband that made him ledgend). He has so many good songs, i really love "masser af succes" and "det bedste til mig og mine venner" but "byens hottel" is also great
Dang! You were born after Elvis died?? As a teacher, we're always caught off guard about what our students weren't around to experience...or at least I was. But it's even more shocking to me, that while I always think of you as a peer, there is a fairly significant age difference. Guess that means you weren't around for Kennedy's assassination, the first moon walk, or Captain and Tennille? I suppose you were too young for disco? I'm sooo depressed! 😢 And when I think of Denmark's entertainment treasure, it's Victor Borge, all the way. I do like Kim Larsen, as well. Fun video!
I don’t know if you get this. But I would just help you with Brød and fløde Say Fløthe= make the d like “the” put them together Flø the. Let me know how it works, please. Was born in Denmark in 1933 and went to America in 1960. Got married in 1962 have 3 boys. Hilsen fra Helen Sahagian, Florida.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇩🇰🇩🇰
I think you lhear it different than we danes do. Jutlandia is not similair to Jylland, but to Jutland it is. We dont speak english as native language in Denmark tho :)
Danish(DK) - English (EN) translation of the lyrics in "Om Lidt" ("In A Moment"): DK: Om lidt blir her stille EN: In a moment, it becomes silent DK: Om lidt er det forbi EN: In a moment, it will be over DK: Fik du set det, du ville? EN: Did you get to see, what you wanted (to see)? DK: Fik du hørt din melodi? EN: Did you get to hear your melody? DK: Om lidt, om lidt, er vi borte EN: In a moment, in a moment, we'll be gone DK: Vi ses måske igen EN: Maybe we'll see each other again For us Danes, it is a very sad and sorrowful song about endings and goodbyes, although it leaves us with some sort of hope in the last line - "maybe we'll see each other again". It is very often sung at Danish funerals. Kim Larsen passed away at September 30th, 2018, at the age of 72, which, in the following days, practically caused mourning all across the country. And this song was played over and over again.
Two things: The tribute concert did end with "Om lidt bliver der stille" For englishspeakers it might be interesting to listen to this song by Kim and Gasolin' in english: ua-cam.com/video/ESWg3LREby4/v-deo.html
I'm only 16 and I've heard so many great songs from Kim Larsen. I especially like 'Midt om natten', 'This is my life' and 'Pianomand'. I was so sad to see him go because he meant a lot to me. Some of his songs were in our songbook and we used to sing his songs in school.
I really liked his voice and my favorite was the one you liked the most. Looks like your Danish fluency is coming along well. Has conversing in Danish gotten easier? When do you take your Danish fluency test?
Kim Larsen's music is a bit of an acquired taste for non-Danes. Understanding the lyrics REALLY helps - but they are DANISH lyrics! Kim Larsen was, to Danes, a bit like Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley are to US Americans, rolled into one performer. US Americans will be absolutely unable to understand it, but THAT is their loss...
@@MyNewDanishLife Kim would be proud even though it is also very adult. Just like another great dane H.C.Andersen who wrote childrens stories for adults... Yes they are childrens stories, but they have a deeper layer intended for the adults too :)
I liked many of his songs, but his Copenhagen dialect was a bit strong for my taste. "He's got a very distinctive face" hahaha. Some say he had the face of a monkey but that's a bit harsh in my opinion. Great channel by the way👍🏻
Jutlandia was a passenger ship that is best known for being converted to a hospital ship that assisted the UN in the Korean War.
Jutlandia was a passengership but also with a large cargo capacity, ( ordered by ØK, and built by Nakskov Skibsværft in 1934).
And it was my favorite song as a student in Copenhagen in the dejlig summer of 1986!!!! Jeg elsker Danmark!!

In The Wings
(Gasolin’ - Steven Lemberg)
She was standing in the wings that night
I saw her weeping before the lights
Blinded my eyes
Yes, blinded my eyes
I saw her taking of a wedding band
And whisper to the stage door man
But I was high
Yes, I was too high
High on the sound
As the crowd called out my name
I though that I could take it
I paid my dues to make it
To me it was a foolish game
But without you, girl (without you, girl)
Nothing is the same (ooh-ooh-ooh)
The song I write is pity
The song I sing are empty
I need you by my side again
I need a friend
Damn the critics and the Rolling Stone
Promotion men and agency gnomes
My mind is blown
I’m so alone
Wind me up and I can dance and sing
Like a puppet on a string
I play my guitar
They say I’m a star
Who am I fooling
What does it all mean
The audience is screaming
Celebrities I’m meeting
The money and the limousines
‘Cause without you, girl (without you, girl)
Nothing is the same (ooh-ooh-ooh)
The song I write is pity
The song I sing are empty
I need you by my side again
I need a friend

For me is, "Kim Larsen and Bellami - Mrs. Sauterne" is the best song. I know what a Sauterne it is, but you can interpret a song as you like.
Kim also sings "Den Allersidste Sang" which is from the movie “Mød Mig På Cassiopeia (1951)”. This song will always live in my heart.
Watch Paul Richard sing it here:

Another song that, well, a million Danes can sing - is this one. "Flintesønnerne (1956) - Du er min øjesten" .

Give it a try Maybe
ua-cam.com/video/Ommkjxfj4EE/v-deo.html
This is a newer version with an ageing mr. Larsen and not the gasolin band, but there songs.
Som et strejf af en dråbe
Fik vi lov til at håbe
På de ting, som skal komme
Før end livet er omme..
shortly it will be quiet
shortly it's over
did you see what you wanted
did you hear your melody
abandoned and alone
the circus princess dances around
stopping ... on her line
in a senseless second
shortly shortly
we are gone
we might might again
shortly it will be quiet
shortly it's over
did you see what you wanted
did you hear your melody
shortly shortly
we are gone
we might meet again
in a little while
we are gone
we might meet
again
In my country in Denmark we always play Kim Larsen songs at alt partys i ever have ben to
You should give "Værsgo" a try, Larsens first solo album from 1973...its 46 like me...I love all the songs and know them by heart, I sang along, you cant help it
This is his best album EVER!!!
Jutlandia
Versions: #1#2#3
It was in the year of 1949 or something like that
When Korea was in war
The ship was named Jutlandia and it got far and wide
'Cause Korea was in war
Equipped from the basement to the hall
As a floating hospital
Hey ho
For Jutlandia
She came as if called for the battle
Home is the hunter
Returned from the hunt
And the sailor returned from the sea
When the boys are going to war, the girls sail by
To the red cross painted ships
And Lillili Marlen sings
Auf wiedersehen (See you later)
When they're falling in a row
The canons are playing first violin
Come on soldier
Sing along to the melody
Hey ho
For Jutlandia
She came as if called for the battle
Home is the hunter
Returned from the hunt
And the sailor returned from the sea
(Interlude)
She sails through the night, with all of her kids
Alive and dead
White like a maiden
And brave like an eagle
She meets the war
16 years old nurses
Are taking care of the soldiers wounds
Hey ho
For Jutlandia
She came as if called for the battle
Home is the hunter
Returned from the hunt
And the sailor returned from the sea
Hey ho
For Jutlandia
She came as if calleorthe battle
Home is the hunter
Returned from the hunt
And the sailor returned from sea.
lol the part where you said sing it with me I and I bet other danes did that
You must listen to The Danish band Shubidua.....it. Doesnt Get more Danish than That....( the lyrics are important and all us Danes knows Them and Can sing along ) love Your videos 🤩🤩🤩
I love ur vid
I love Kim Larsen to, was sad when he died
Its all there in these Kim Larsen lyrics🤗🤝😍:
This is my life
This is my time
You show me the light
And I go there.
Give me the wine
Bitter and sweet
And a little bit of bread
That's all I need.
No, I don't want the gold from Xanadu
I think I'll leave it all to you
This is my life and I don't care.
This is my street,
Are you restless feet
Carry me on to anywhere.
Take the fear
Take it away
And give me some hope
For one more day.
I saw a ghost behind the door
When the kids were coming home from the war
With broken dreams and nothing more.
I heard a woman singing her song
And it was good and warm and strong
She made me cry I don't know why.
I don't want to bring you down
I think it's good to be here
This is my life and I don't care!
My favorite Kim Larsen song is "Sælhundens Sang" and I love his live koncert DVD "En Lille Pose Støj" :)
Gasolin was the band where he started as a leadsinger and is possibly the most popular band in the last fifty years
One of his last songs in english. Larsen is a national icon. I love his saying: "Help the poor - the rich has enough money"
ua-cam.com/video/KwO8zvdkZa8/v-deo.html
Great video🙂👍 my favourite kim larsen song is probably bell'star its very catchy
Have u seen the Movie “midt om natten” ? And the Song “Tarzan mamamia” wich is also a movie. But not with Kim Larsen
No , I haven't.
@@MyNewDanishLife Midt om natten is quite good and also shows Denmark in 1984. Some other fun danish movies are Olsen banden from the 70s. I am sure your husband knows all about them too. :)
Very strong emotionel movies!!
Kim Larsen har hovedrollen i "midt om natten"
Filmen har mange ligheder med hvordan Christiania blev grundlagt af hippier og bz'er og folk udenfor det etablerede samfund.
Led to U2 doing this during their show:
ua-cam.com/video/siuOOvVj0vs/v-deo.html
I'm eternally grateful to U2 for this now.
"Midt om natten" is his best song and is missing here
Yes. There was a copyright issue, and UA-cam took it off. I had to edit the video without it.
He has so many good songs, i really love "masser af succes" and "det bedste til mig og mine venner" but "byens hottel" is also great
Kim also made english songs.
What a lemon
Rebel run
Very good songs
Yet in Denmark we call Kim Larsens version of english "Valby engelsk" because of his distinct accent
my favorite kim larsen song is. Papirklip.
Godt valg!
Fun video!
Thanks Linda. Yeah. 1978 baby! :)
I don’t know if you get this. But I would just help you with Brød and fløde
Say Fløthe= make the d like “the” put them together Flø the.
My personal favorite song with Kim Larsen is Rabalderstræde. Its full of good energy :)
Jutlandia is the Latin word for jylland. But yes the song is about a ship named Jutlandia, the ship though was named after Jylland.
I have seen him in concert. "Sange fra glemmebogen", meaning something like forgotten songs. An example: ua-cam.com/video/hLyvPtW4M3w/v-deo.html
Danish(DK) - English (EN) translation of the lyrics in "Om Lidt" ("In A Moment"):
DK: Om lidt blir her stille
EN: In a moment, it becomes silent
DK: Om lidt er det forbi
EN: In a moment, it will be over
DK: Fik du set det, du ville?
EN: Did you get to see, what you wanted (to see)?
DK: Fik du hørt din melodi?
EN: Did you get to hear your melody?
DK: Om lidt, om lidt, er vi borte
EN: In a moment, in a moment, we'll be gone
DK: Vi ses måske igen
EN: Maybe we'll see each other again
For us Danes, it is a very sad and sorrowful song about endings and goodbyes, although it leaves us with some sort of hope in the last line - "maybe we'll see each other again".
It is very often sung at Danish funerals.
Kim Larsen passed away at September 30th, 2018, at the age of 72, which, in the following days, practically caused mourning all across the country. And this song was played over and over again.
Kim larsen bästa sång är langebro
This is My life an english Kl song. 👌❤️
r.i.p. Kim Larsen the true dane
Would be nice to have comment section with foreign commenters instead of danish ones...
Two things: The tribute concert did end with "Om lidt bliver der stille"
For englishspeakers it might be interesting to listen to this song by Kim and Gasolin' in english: ua-cam.com/video/ESWg3LREby4/v-deo.html
Jutlandia is a ship, not a place...and the song is about that ship, and the war in Korea...
Jutlandia is actually the latin name of Jutland, but also the name the name of the nursery shipin the koreann war.'
Hvis din far gir dig lov, and maria is the best songs
Om lidt was played on my moms funeral
Om lidt is often used for funerals
Om lidt, om liiiiidt. Er vi booooooorte
While you are at it looking at Danish music culture you should take a look on some old danish movies.
For end of summer try "Sæsonen er slut" by C.V Jørgensen :-)
I'm only 16 and I've heard so many great songs from Kim Larsen. I especially like 'Midt om natten', 'This is my life' and 'Pianomand'. I was so sad to see him go because he meant a lot to me. Some of his songs were in our songbook and we used to sing his songs in school.
Please listen to the song “This Is My Life” with GASOLIN, and tell me what you think
"He's go a very distinctive face,... but it's a nice song". Coulnd't help laughing :-)
I really liked his voice and my favorite was the one you liked the most. Looks like your Danish fluency is coming along well. Has conversing in Danish gotten easier? When do you take your Danish fluency test?
Thanks. I have lost a lot since I stopped taking classes. I took my test a year and a half ago.
@@MyNewDanishLife Well I think you sound great and I know how difficult Danish is to learn as dated a Dane long ago. ❤🇩🇰
Its catchy! Lol
End of summer song: CV Jørgensen - Sæsonen er slut
Hello, awesome video! We are new friends here & just subscribed! Hopefully we can support each other! Have a great rest of your day!
10:49 Try to say that to a Swede 😂
Kim Larsen's music is a bit of an acquired taste for non-Danes. Understanding the lyrics REALLY helps - but they are DANISH lyrics! Kim Larsen was, to Danes, a bit like Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley are to US Americans, rolled into one performer. US Americans will be absolutely unable to understand it, but THAT is their loss...
Min datter er stor fan af tarzan mamamia (hun er 3.5). Jeg kan nu også meget godt lide den ☺
please listen to Kim Larsen - parpirsklip. and listen to Kim Larsen - Midt om Natten
I did. UA-cam wouldn't let me put Midt om Natten in my video. I did hear papirskip too. I like it. It sounds like a song for children...in a way. :)
@@MyNewDanishLife okay i Think they are good Songs, little sad youtube didnt let you upload it.
@@MyNewDanishLife Kim would be proud even though it is also very adult. Just like another great dane H.C.Andersen who wrote childrens stories for adults... Yes they are childrens stories, but they have a deeper layer intended for the adults too :)
My New Danish Life do you understand Them
Love you, and greet your husband😀
my favourite kim larsen song is "thes is my life"
you shut try lisen to Lars Lilholt next
Kim Marschal this* should* listen*
Try Allan Olsen. But it´s all in Danish.
Om lidt bliver her stille bliver brugt til begravelse mange gange
jeg sang med på alt hvad du spillede! haha
jutlandia is latin for jylland
OM LIDT IS offen played at funaral
🇩🇰 was Gosolin
❤❤❤
It’s not fun it’s about a war
You pronounced "Om lidt" like "omelette". :)
Thanks for that! 🙄I’m sure it was meant to be helpful! 👍🏻
@@MyNewDanishLife Sorry, I know Danish is a difficult language to learn. I just thought it was funny.
Erh...no!? The pronunciation was just fine.
Nikolaj og oliver
I liked many of his songs, but his Copenhagen dialect was a bit strong for my taste. "He's got a very distinctive face" hahaha. Some say he had the face of a monkey but that's a bit harsh in my opinion. Great channel by the way👍🏻
Jutlandia is Jylland in latin.
Yeah, but the song is about a hospital ship sent to assist at the Corean War.
can you understand any danish
??
