This spoke to me in an unusual way. I've mentored two teen-agers in foster care at different times and I can tell you that the monsters they deal with and revealed were small initially, but when they revealed their big monsters to me, that's when the challenge to stay invested became great. The bigger the monster or the more the monsters, the messier to one's neatly organized and preplanned life. Someday the monsters may move on, but for now, the man in the movie accepts the little girl with the monsters she has revealed and shows her that his ability to receive any and all of her monsters and still care about her is great...because he builds many more monster houses. Very profound for me. Thanks for making this cartoon.

When I was a kindergarten teacher in Tokyo I made several lessons around this short and would treat my kids to it on a good day. I think they were as enchanted with it as I was. I can rewatch it in any mood, over and over, but it always picks me up. Thank you for sharing this.
5:51-6:11 Did anybody else notice that the monsters "mysteriously disappear" for this segment. It makes me think they were never real and they were her imaginary friends and that she's really all alone. Wow, depressed myself. But it makes it that much more heartwarming when the old man comes back

more than half the time all these animations without dialogue what so ever turn out to be the best ones.
This definitely made a little space for itself in my heart, nothing short of beautiful. I wish more short films like these were shown on television, the world really needs it. Great job :)
This is actually pretty beautiful. I love the animation and style, and I love how, even without dialogue, I could still tell what the story was. And the music is really nice.

I'm stuck in the bed with the umpteenth illness this year, feeling quite bored and somewhat lonely. This film made it easier to deal with that...it made my heart smile and I forgot how miserable I am while I was watching! I think it's been the best medicine yet so thanks so much for such a delightful little diversion...I'm about to watch it again and sharing it with FB.

Beautiful and heart-warming. Excellent animations. Even the facial expressions, though they are not detailed, show the feelings and interactions of the characters very well. Very nice to see. And the music fits the mood and images perfectly.
The makers of this video prove that in a good and entertaining video there is no need for violence and negativity.

This is one of the best short I've ever seen.The story is terrific, the music is very good (I love the way it mixed with the short) and the color is very attractive. I learned a lot from this short and I think this short should win a lot of awards.

The designs are delightful! The colours are great, especially the monsters. I like how the girl and her monsters are good natured, and it's sweet how the old man takes her candy wrappers as money ^_^ Everything about this short is perfect!

wow, that was so cute and heartwarming it had me at tear point, awesome animation, the colorful characters and their designs looked so original i kept waiting during the whole animation to see what the little girl will bring next, and that ending hehe, i only hope she stills introduces her new friends to the oldman because that sure is gonna keep her bussy, awesome job XD
