Not a bad guide! I recommend trying an unconventional loadout however from time to time. Trying something that is more challenging to gain pilot kills not only becomes more rewarding but also helps improve your aim and movement synergy
Agreed and thanks for the comment! My next loadout guide for TF2 will be L-Star/Holopilot, definitely a more unconventional loadout yet still incredibly fun and powerful with the holopilot mind games.
Just like how water can change into any shape, I think the grapple perfectly fits every game mode other than Last titan standing. Who doesn't wanna slingshot across glitch in under 10 seconds?

A little under the hood here: I've been working on a new wingman elite/ stim loadout and after I'll move to a grapple build with either the carbine or an smg, likely car if the carbine doesn't work. I forced myself to ween off the grapple as when I first started playing I gravitated towards L-Star/Grapple and it became a crutch of sorts for not learning the movement system properly w/o grapple. I definitely think it'll be much more fun and versatile overall esp once I get the momentum 'exploits' down, but in terms of a fall-back max-sweat class for live fire or vs rlly rlly good opponents in general, I find the Pulse Blade to be my best bet because of the info it provides + wallhacks giving me a distinct edge in a straight gunfight. In terms of pilot-bouncing from kill to kill though, I agree the grapple can definitely get you around a lot faster to keep the chain going, though, and I can't wait to start focusing on that loadout next.

As fun as it sounds, Map Hack is so OP that while it's active there's no point in using pulse blade. I could definitely see situations where your PB is on cooldown and you pop Map Hack to keep trucking along. Thanks for the comment!
I use car, grapple with infrared Scope, and smoke. When I get cornered I use the smoke to block vision use the sights on my car to get my kill and grapple out. I also use a stim and a mischief to hit speed and then hit again and run like heck out. I also play on Xbox at gen 4 lvl 20 I think, and username is evasivesinger81 if you wanna help me get better
Moments like 6:09 really show that the developers don't know what the hell they are doing. Titanfall players often talk about hitscan this hitscan that, but it's the constant accuracy during full-auto fire that really screwed up this game's balance. They also coded the crosshair completely wrong, its default size, as well as its expansion both have 0 connection to the accuracy of your weapon, amateur "design choices" in a supposedly premium game. I hope they get a game designer that actually understands good gunplay for Titanfall 3, instead of relying on their animation department to carry them.
That's the CAR, a recoilless submachine gun, its crosshair doesn't change because it doesn't have recoil. The game isn't unbalanced and what matters above everything is skill, hope this helps

The crosshair does change, it just never represents the potential accuracy correctly, which was my complaint to begin with. 2. If a weapon has little to no recoil then the crosshair should reflect that. 3. Guns not having recoil is no excuse to give them pin-point accuracy at all times. 4. The game is extremely unbalanced and that's why most players gravitate towards the same weapons. A game where an SMG outperforms an assault rifle while hip firing at mid range is unbalanced. 5. A game being skill-based isn't a defense or a reply to anything I mentioned.

Yeah well, this is Titanfall, we always have guns that are really strong for different reasons but aren't the only useable ones, makes it more fun that way 4. Source? Being bigger or smaller on other guns is irrelevant, it fails as a UI element on the CAR, and it fails on the other guns as well. I must congratulate you, you made me repeat the same thing 3 times, you can officially claim your* 'arguing in bad faith' medal. 2. It doesn't, the bullets barely move from the dot in the middle, the rest of the crosshair is blatantly cosmetic. Also consistent recoil would be fine, the CAR just has little to no recoil at all, and layered on top of that is pin-point precision while full-auto hip firing, making the player easily capable of killing anyone at any range with hip fire. 3. Titanfall 2 could have had the fun guns AND the balance, they simply choose to only include one of those. 4. Most players are running around with the CAR/alternator, you must be playing on console or something if you truly do not see those all the time. It's not hard to see why, I even included a time stamp in my first post. The point you made about the game being skill based is what makes the game playable for me despite the cancerous tryharding everywhere, but that doesn't excuse the game's faults.

Yeah, I agree, the CAR does have really high precision, however, aiming it at "any range" is not easy, especially in a game with high movement like Titanfall 2. I personally think Titanfall 2 is just fine in terms of balance, but, like you pointed out, yeah, I'm a console player so maybe you're right and that is the reason I don't spot them much. Of course the game's faults aren't excused, but its a 2016 game that was basically abandoned by EA and Respawn, I just feel like nitpicking little details doesn't really do anything- Also, I'm in no way trying to be hostile toward you, just trying to have a civil argument, you don't need to act like a jerk towards me. My CAR is G45... also, from a G51 Xbox player, whenever things perfectly click for me and I get like 50+ kills I always see myself playing R97 or CAR, and the best game modes for farming pilot kills are Attrition, Amped hardpoint, and bounty hunt.
I think Stim and Grapple are good on certain modes, Like Stim for CTF, but for the more common modes of attrition and Pilot Vs. Pilot throwing out wall hacks constantly allows for a more reliable aggressive playstyle because you know so much going into the fight vs an enemy who only knows they detected a pulse blade. I use pulse blade 90% if the time for pulse blade kills
Step 1 dont use pulse blade
Step 2: dont drop titan in first 30 seconds of match

stim, grapple, and phase shift are better tacticals imo but choose whatever fits your playstyle
