- Tina calls the doctor for an update on her (flawed) paternity test, but while she is on hold, Cord returns home unexpectedly. She hangs up the phone without getting the lab results. Before Viki can answer whether Sarah called, Bo asks whether someone called ABOUT Sarah. Clint is able to ascertain that Viki answered a call. As Clint and Bo continue to hurl questions at Viki, too rapidly for her to understand or answer, Sheila finally takes over. Asking a series of Yes/No questions, Sheila determines that Sarah herself called and that Viki knows Sarah’s location. With some further questioning Viki tells them Sarah is in Virginia, and she tries to write “Gem” to indicate the factory Sarah said she was near, but they are unable to make out her writing. Bo is heartened to learn Sarah is alive and perhaps on her way home. Clint says he’ll call Rafe to get a tap put on the phone in case she calls back. Gabrielle tries calling Tony,but as soon as he picks up, Max returns, grabbing the phone from his wife, and tells Tony to meet him at the bar. Gabrielle stands by her story that Tony embezzled money from Outlook House, and she tries to stop him from going to meet Tony. Max asks Tony whether he put Gabrielle up to stealing $25 grand from Asa. He says he didn’t know she had plans to steal the money from Asa, though he admits to knowing she was desperate for money. Tony says Gabrielle is trying to avoid a scandal, but he doesn’t explain why the money was missing in the first place. He tells Max the person he needs to talk to is his wife. Sheila suggests Viki rest, but Viki is insistent that she wants to help Sarah. She is unable to write any clearer, so Sheila tells her she needs to go to bed. As Sheila is wheeling Viki out of the living room, Dorian drops by and asks if she can write an article explaining the progress Viki is making in her recovery. Sheila tells Dorian that Viki is slowly regaining her faculties and that they are optimistic for a full recovery. Dorian is skeptical, and when Sheila asks if Clint knows she’s writing the article, Dorian claims that he knows she has Viki’s best interest at heart. Asa intervenes, calling Dorian a liar. Asa thinks she’s here to not only get a sensational story but also to drum up support for the movement to oust Viki as mayor. After dismissing Dorian, Asa says he’s going to give Herron a list of people not to allow in the house.
When Cord heads back to the office, Tina tries calling the doctor again, but his secretary says he has just left for the hospital and recommends calling him there in a half hour. Gabrielle tells Julia about her failed attempt to rob Asa and that Max is confronting Tony right now. Julia is less than sympathetic and says she thinks what Gabrielle has done is appalling. She says Gabrielle shouldn’t have thrown Tony under the bus after all he’s done for her. Julia advocates telling Max the truth, believing it is the only way her daughter has a chance to save her marriage. Somehow Gabrielle gets the wrong message and runs out of the house, evidently with her next move in mind. Max sits at the bar, contemplating the conversation he’s just had with Tony. Cord arrives and Max asks whether it’s true he and Tina are getting married again. Cord says it’s true, and that Tina has finally changed her scheming ways. Cord notes that Gabrielle has changed as well, but Max isn’t so sure. Gabrielle catches up to Tony at his office. He is irate that she told Max that he was the one who embezzled from Outlook House and cast herself as the hero trying to help a friend. He says he was blindsided by Max’s accusation. Tony asks why Gabrielle couldn’t have just trusted him when he said he’d take care of it and wouldn’t let her go to jail. Gabrielle apologizes but quickly shifts back to damage control, asking if Tony told Max that she was the one who actually stole from their charity. Tony says he refused to tell Max anything. She gratefully kisses him on the cheek and he says he realizes now that everything she does is a calculated move for her own gain. Viki feels like she could have saved Sarah but she failed. She doubts she’s ever going to get any better.. Renee checks in on Tina and finds her nearly in a panic over the impending paternity test results. Renee calms her down and stays to support her while she calls the doctor. The doctor tells her the DNA comparison did not show a match-Cord is not the father of her baby.
Some of Erica Slezaks best acting was in this story line. Its incredibly hard to play a stroke victim with aphasia.
Renee was so supportive to Tina. I love seeing their friendship
I’m surprised tina doesn’t just pretend she never slept with Johnny and that the baby is Cord’s.

Loved Dorian’s impromptu visit!!!! The show seems to be losing steam, but Dorian always gives thing’s a jolt!

Im starting to like this Max. Not as much as Jim but he is okay and actually has more chemistry with Gabrielle
I couldn't take him.
Of course your entitled to your opinion but this recast was not good. I know all recasts take time getting used to but he was all wrong. Plus jdp made the max character work so well due to his charisma & presence plus he clicked really well w/ all 3 leading ladies they gave him. Once jdp decided to leave they should have let max be presumed dead. Cause now Gabrielle is written pretty skitzo & I used to be able to sorta understand her character. I think due to the lack of chemistry w/ this recast she's doing things I don't think the character would if jdp were in the role.
I’ve been trying to find out what happened to the old Max in real life, why they had someone else play him when he ends up coming back later.

@@nattyps3160 i think he is great. He is not Max just like Tina is not Tina , they are different versions of each but they worked for the time being. Im really enjoying his scenes with Gabrielle

I believe she left because she needed a break or was pregnant. Either way. When she wanted to return to the show,there was a new EP and HE. She called and Linda Gottlieb was the EP and had no idea who she was
So sad. I loved Sarah. She took Jensen off the opening credits so quick. On the episode the day before. They must have planned to recast Sarah right away. I wonder why they didnt?
Is that Whitney Houston playing in the background of Max & Cord’s scene?
