    Those zoom flooks are fantastic in fresh water. I assume they are good in salt water as well

    You guys are awesome. I just started watching your videos, they are very informative, yet fun. And not gonna lie, having a southern accent and speaking so eloquently threw me off at first haha.

      Thanks man! It's a custom rod I built. The specs on it are 6'9" Light Fast action American Tackle Bushido with All carbon components. I'm loving it so far.

      @@southernsalt Hey Brother apologize for responding back late I just ran across this. You are welcomed man I love supporting good channels like yours. Yes I had a very nice holiday. I went to my in-laws house family gathering. For 10 years I always been Trucking 🚛 on Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday. It was nice to be off this holiday. Family said don't do nothing so I kicked my swollen feet around the bonfire 🔥 trying to melt the flip flops off my feet ( which I did not do good in that department ) got my drink on and watch my five kids and granddaughter run around with their cousins in the field. Felt real good to spend the holiday with my family.

    You are the first gentleman. I know to give away your fishing spot. Lol

    • @southernsalt
      @southernsalt  3 роки тому

      Lol I don’t have spots. I may have a spot for that day that’s located in a general area but as conditions change so do the patterns of these fish. Charter guides give away there spots to 4 people at a time twice a day and they still find and catch fish.

    What action and power rod are you using with the fluke? Thanks for the info!

  • @LowerBamaFishing

    Every time it seems when I go fishing it's something different with the conditions and different baits will work for different days. Trial and error.

    • @southernsalt
      @southernsalt  3 роки тому

      Yessir! I’ve narrowed down a few baits that I have an enormous amount of confidence in and they seem to always produce.

  • @TCampbell1990

    Nice video bro. I’ve been trying to use flukes more, but I have more confidence with paddle tails and ned rigs, so it doesn’t last long. I do seem to catch reds with them though. I feel for your buddy losing that bull. I’ve been catching trout in rivers, bayous and flats. For some reason I can’t seem to find a redfish lol keep up the videos man

    • @southernsalt
      @southernsalt  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah it took me a while to get confidence in the fluke but now it’s a must have, especially when it’s tough. Knowing when to switch back over to the paddle tail is equally important though.
