Idk how I feel about desires in this deck still, maybe if you played 2 of both pend graphs but if you’re playing 1 of either of them it just feels really sus, as well as scythe because you’re always going to want to desires before playing but if you banish the 1 ofs then you can’t play anyway soooo
No, you NEED the draw. Sky Striker also plays their most important cards at 1, shout outs to banlist, and any SS list you see without Desires is bad & won't top.
I'll tell you for free, in hands in which you really struggle to see a line, Desires almost always fixes your hand. like its 8 times out of 10 that it makes your hands objectively better
"Aren't you tired of this deck yet?" ...No, not at all, I love pendulums and Konami's apparent disdain for the mechanic, as well as the community's negative overreaction to the MECHANIC(Yes, Pepe/Pend Magicians were broken, doesn't mean all of them were) made me quit the game. I like seeing my favorite mechanic do something in a world where it's hated.
Problem is, it was extremely unfriendly towards casual players. If you didn't out both the scales and the monsters, game was over & destruction wasn't that prevalent back in the day. MR3 meant that you just got OTKed if you didn't absolutely smash the Pend player on the crackback. It felt like Pends dumbed down OTK'ing cuz you had to go through loops with other decks for that, Pends just summoned 5 and it was enough. I must admit I never had a back and fort match with pends. They either built a billion negate boards with PePe, Pend Magi, Zefra or Endymion; they either played Demise and floodgates like Skill Drain Macro etc. with Qli and summoned abominations like Towers, or I broke their entire board with field breakers and won. I enjoy all decks of TOSS more than them. Abyss actor...was a sick deck though! God I loved that thing more than Odd Eyes.

Pend Magi being the only one that really survived MR4(Endymion as a deck didn't do all that well on its own, Pepe is fair enough, and even Zefra didn't have that many tops.) Also, on the dumbing down section, really only pepe and Qli had simple combo lines, and don't look that different from many of the other top decks ever since we entered the combo era of yugioh. Qli wasn't good because it was a pendulum deck, you could have made scout a continuous spell and the other monsters work with just their monster effects and Qli would have been just as oppressive during their time. None of these decks really show how the pendulum mechanic was broken, these were really good/broken decks that just so happened to use the pendulum mechanic.
Maybe astrograph will comeback next list? Before electrumite, he wasn’t as crazy since he needed to get looped at 3 copies, but at one, he won’t be insane
@Silverwing This is Konami so if he’s coming back (maybe) he’ll be at one to see if anything’s happening. It’s not like OCG where both Astrograph and Electrumite are at 1.
@Silverwing Doubt people would go to that even if astrograph goes back to 3 the deck can do way more than that even now and cards like baroness de fleur and phoenix enforcer that will be released later this year will be more insane and provide a bigger shift in playstyle than astrograph could ever hope to achieve, I can only see more control style versions of the deck ditching chronograph for astrograph but that's about it
@Silverwing People just will not stop playing Pendulum Call, so that will not happen, but Magicians are pretty viable that way right now. People just make it Artifact turbo ft. Magicians.
And then they will start to hate the deck again. It's the block dragon effect tbh. The card isn't quite good enough to make the deck that it supports tier 1, at least if it's at 1, but it doesn't exactly have healthy interactions. The deck didn't have too high of a representation but it was annoying to deal with. Especially if I wasn't side decking droll in that format, which had gone in and out of my side deck over the formats. It was a pretty fun deck to play with sure, I played vlad endymion in striker orcust format and the deck could do a lot. But it ended up pretty die rolly in a lot of match ups, and the ones where it wasn't it was just a nightmare to play against for them. So yeah, elec could come back, but I don't know if it's really going to improve the game. Feast or famine decks are just hard to balance in general, they end up being either too weak to do anything, or too strong to be stopped and end up unhealthy, either warping the format around them or just introduce a die roll match up for the format.

Using The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister as a material for Accesscode Talker is like, some anime mirror world insanity there; given that in VRAINS Accesscode was summoned with Firewall Dragon Darkfluid used as a material, so that it could contest the Arrival...🤔
MBT could have gotten rid of both the back row in the @ignister game if he used celestial eff when the savage dragon was on the field so he can't activate the Danmari anymore. then he makes a tornado to pop one of the cards, makes i:p with savage as it's not needed anymore then makes a unicorn with the tuning or apollosua, then makes accesscoder with the remaining cards on the field.
You need your entire hand to play most pendulum decks since you inherently lose 2 card due to scales, so pendulum decks dont really have much space for handtraps
Odd how the only thing pendulum can do is spam the cards that everyone already knows are good in any deck. Why not use vortex to turn your extra deck into a negation pool?
MBT, why didn't you go with a timestar time pendulumgraph setup at any point? That was the main reason the card was such a menace. You would negate the destruction of yours and because pendulumgraph didn't send 2, you could straight up send a card on the field to the grave. It was incredibly oppressive.

A lot of the "synchros ruined the game" people disappeared when they added 5Ds to duel links, so maybe pends will get the love they deserve.
