Great video!! Do you think that axle switch is something specific to the Camp free hub body? Doing the same project but switching from XDR and that axle is out of stock everywhere
Hello! Very good video. What is the difference between the two axes. Is the one for shimano longer, shorter? Why does it need to be changed? I intend to do the same operations on some Campagnolo Zonda wheels.
Hi there, well Ive run into the same situation - I think. I have a new gravel bike - with sram pg cassette. I then proceeded to set up a new wheel set for road tires - so I bought waht I thought was right - a fulcrum wheelset with N3W hub! Rookie mistake. My sram cassette ( 12 speed ). So It seems to me like this is what I need as you describe - I think the axle length is 142mm in the rear. Sounds like the new axle is required, other than that this looks easy. Where did you order these? Couldnt pick up the company you mentioned.
Thanks for this! How much would you say all the parts cost, roughly? I'm thinking of going the other way, have GRX now but may buy a road bike with Ekar that I'd then swap into my gravel bike. These wheels are on super discount, so would be good to know if it's worth it for the future, or just waiting.
Fulcrum sells an N3W conversion kit (part KIT-N3WSTD for cartridge bearings, there's a different kit for cup and cone hubs) that includes all the needed parts. Some newer wheels only need the freehub body itself swapped though. There's a chart on their website that shows which goes with which wheels.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for this. That cassette spacer is for using a 9 speed, 10 speed, or mtb cassette. Believe it or not, the 11 - 34 is a “mtb” cassette.

@@foxconfox the axle for the newer Campagnolo N3W hub is shorter so it can accommodate smaller cogs on the outside of the cassette
