Big USC J, things are looking really solid for USC on the DL. I feel like we haven’t been this big, this strong at these positions in quite a long time. It will be good to see us playing with large human beings when we enter the BIG this year. We are going to need them. Maybe some of our 300 pounders will add some muscle in the weight room between now and the fall. Fight ON my man!
Alex Grinch did not care for Big 300 pound defensive lineman he did not recruit that size even when he coached at Washington State. His front seven were under 270 he said it himself, he recruited small and quick defensive linemen for the pac 12 because of the offense they run, well we all found out that scheme didn’t work.
Playing a “Light Box” against any run-oriented team is a recipe for failure. Michigan proved that in the CFP Final game against the Huskies. You cannot beat a big physical offensive that runs well with six in the box. USC needs to scrap that crap and come with a 4/3 base with variations. However, I’m sure we will be in some 4/2 scheme and get punched in the face by the elite teams that can run well.

Hopefully, we get back to our roots of running the ball. ✌️🏈✌️

I'm excited about that D-line. O-lines primary focus will be on these big guys to where the edge rushers can be more productive in attacking that pocket. It also will make it more difficult and O-line to zero in on Bear where he was double teamed many times. That can still happen, but these other big boys can pick up the leftovers if that were to happen. So it's really coming together and Lynn is doing it right along with his assistants.

USC J, you're 100% correct, developing your players is the key to winning. I love 4 & 3 stars, that's what won our last bowl game. I'd rather have 11 four stars than a handful of 5-stars. I see those players who have gone wild against us and most of them were 4 and 3 stars.

USC will surprise many with the defensive improvement. Plus the skill positions are top notch. Recruiting services don't do a good job rating transfer portal player's. Adding USCs portal gets they would be much higher in the recruiting rankings

They were all as soft as medicated cotton, bruh. 300lbs and can't even bench their own weight (BA didn't exactly stun me either with a dominating year, all that hype he brought.). You are that big you should be hitting 500-600 on the squat and bench, no BS. These big men aren't edge rushers, their whole thing is power, so they need to get with the business.
I think we need to stay grounded here people. We were not that good last year and have some retooling to-do. CLR is doing a decent job but again he is not recruiting California very well. That is not a formula for long term success. We will see what the new year brings but CLR needs to step up his coaching game. The abysmal failure of last years team is the stink that permeates the air! Watching that game Monday night couldn’t help but think that should have been USC playing. I don’t want false hope and sunshine pumping! I want Results!

The outcome would not be different. The score may be different but the outcome would be the exact same with a Michigan win. Trust me when I say that your d-line may be ready for the B1G but they are not ready for Michigan. Even next year this defence and wait until you see the offensive line next year... Don't forget that many of those second unit played the whole year for half of the game in conference play and still shut teams down and ran all over them. Only from Penn State on did you the depth chart shrink to just the two deep that played in the first half. Most of our stars on defence on the line especially are going to back as they were only true sophomores like Mason Graham who is a beast! Again our o-line, you don't get it... We have guys who would start and be All-B1G as our second string and they have been in the program for 3-4 years now and are grown men now chomping at the bit to go out there and hit people now. Michigan is likely to go into Washington next year and come out with a win and USC is probably going to leave Ann Arbor with a loss most likely.

You don't need no five stars or four stars hell you don't even need a 1 star. That is so overrated and we just had a guy who was supposed to been a five-star that couldn't even start for USC on the line in Corey Foreman who's only known for really one player that's an interception against now why he could not cut the mustard is beyond me but yet he had two different coaches since being at USC and now he's portals out. You need to type a players that want to play football willing to be developed but most of all has an attitude and the heart and the determination and the wheel to be the greatest he can be! Sorry but that type of specimen is hard to find in the spoilt West. We've undermined our kids inner core in western states. Southern and Poly kids are a different beast.
