@anthony0803 PRS makes great guitars, but personally I think Suhr is a step or two above in terms of quality. Tone and feel are very subjective, and by and large the two companies make pretty different sounding guitars. Personally, I haven't heard a guitar with the clarity and response of a Suhr. They are my absolute favorite, but that's just me. If you ask five people you'll get five answers, and the best thing to do is to try and play as many as you can for yourself.
@anthony0803 Oh, one more thing. We have a no questions asked return policy on all of our guitars, PRS or Suhr. If you want to try one out and decide it's not for you, you can always send it back. Please feel free to visit our website and give me a call if you have any questions.
I am really thinking of buying one of these. How does this compare quality wise with something like a PRS custom 24. I want to buy one guitar to last me a very long time. I like the way the PRS look better. In your opinion do these play and sound better? If they do I will go with Suhr. If not I will go the PRS route. I will take your word for it. Thank you.
@haggertysmusic PRS does make good guitars but I think Music Man is about a grand cheaper. Check out Carvin guitars, you custom order your guitar to your specs and they also are less expensive than PRS.
I'm excited about my new forthcoming S3...getting ready to order Dec 5th. I forgot to ask what do you prefer as far as Pick ups are concerns. HSH or HSS? I trust your judgement. As long as I can get a true bell tone, Spank, Quack sound...you know what I mean. Thanks again Don for all of your help.
@bailey12444 No comparison! Get the Suhr! Although a pro series C1 or C2 would be more comparable to the Fender because of the alder body and more traditional body shape.
I know the bell, and quack tones are important to you, therefore I recommend the HSS. The ML single coils sound fantastic, and I would want to pair it up with an SSV bridge pickup. Talk to you soon!
I've just recently got interested in Suhr guitars and not too sure about what model to consider. I'm really impressed with this one. Can't believe the wonderful tones from the pickups here. You did a good job demonstrating here. Thanks.
Detail to attention, Custom built specs, best parts to choose from(including but not limited to Gotoh 510, Suhr pickups, Sperzel tuners, etc), top-quality wood, etc. In terms of craftsmanship, only a few companies are on the same level as Suhr. In electronics, barely any company comes even close to Suhr.
@creation23 Well..... I was trying... :-)

@AndreNieri The real culprit are the studio lights and the close proximity to the amp. In the majority of environments the noise is a non issue!
your reviews are great and very helpfull. thank''s.
too much noise, is it from the guitar or amp ?

Hey, Dogs! :D 1:04 Nice to hear some Floyd in these reviews.
I know this is old, but I'm wondering how many steps you can bend up with that trem. Probably like a whole step right?
Yes, one whole step.
Awesome playing and a really cool guitar. Pink Floyd! =)
Sweet guitar! Reminds me of Hiram Bullock's strat!

Best of both worlds! Strats and Paul's
fender custom deluxe strat or suhr s4 ?
can this guitar play metal at all?
There's Ritchie Blackmore at 5:51.

What an incredible guitar. Good review!
Noob here, why are these Suhr guitars friggin' expensive!!? look-wise they don't seem that special for the price their askin?

I've owned about every guitar out there. I now own two Suhr. No guitar has come close to consistancy in quality and sound and playability.
