Awesome! Sax solo is incredible. Love the song. The guy ripping the guitar early on is fantastic. Dave is different in this he has no guitar. I love the energy, the smiles, love. It all brings it together.
Really enjoyed this so much! Dave, Tim, with Warren Haynes band together - a rich stew! Alicia Chakour is such a powerful, luscious voice - she really holds her own with these guys...wow! I just discovered Alicia, on DMB @ the Gorge - so want to hear more from her!
LOL!! That "little kid" is Tim Reynolds, who is 56 years old. Reynolds is one of the most accomplished musicians on the planet. He is the lead guitarist for The Dave Matthews Band.
Close, but not accurate. He hasn't been on all their studio albums (not on Everyday, Busted Stuff or Stand Up) and he started touring with them regularly in 2008. And he's essentially the lead guitarist because Dave doesn't really play guitar anymore. Certainly not like he used to.
@@RonanOSheaI never said anything about any albums. Just commented on his current status, which is how Brother Dave refers to him in interviews, so it's a spot-on accurate description. Thanks.
I was at this show, in fact I was right in front between Warren Haynes and Alicia Shakur .. and she is awesome too! The "kid" a you refer to is Tim Reynolds! It wa an AWESOME SHOW! They rocked Charlottesville, VA
Well argued. "Better" or "best" require it to be a standard to juge by, and there are either none or far to many. So there is no "better", there are only different.
I loved this. Dave is good even when he goofs up the lyrics. He played it off though. Everytime he performs without his guitar, he puts his hands in his pockets. Its cute. It makes him look like he's back in highschool in Choir. haha.
Absolutely awkward. Dave tries to do his Dave Matthew's soul thing in an inappropriate place as well as out of time. Fortunately, Warren is such a master showman, he recovers by taking the song through Van Morrison's Tupelo Honey. Not sure if that was planned or not, but Awesome none the less.
One word comes to mind...perfection.

Sean Laney that guy is Tim Reynolds. He tours with Dave a lot. Incredible guitar player.

Heard this performed by Dead and Company back in November and to hear Dave perform it with Warren is mind blowing
killer sax & please let Dave have his guitar ---so glad to have found this---lucky girl born with great vocals!
When going on stage with Warren, it’s best to leave behind whatever notions you have about being a “guitar player” as well as the guitar itself
OMG am I glad I stumbled on this. This is great stuff!
I love it! It's like you can see the music flowing through him. :)

Thanks for sharing this! It was a fun night of great music and great friends!
I love this music so much !!
Thanks for sharing this gem!
This is amazing! It's very Dave-ish, but at the same time very different!
To all the idiots who want to argue. Music is not a competition, it is collaboration.

Wow... so true!!

wish I had 1/10 the talent Tim Reynolds has on guitar!!
Can't imagine a better tribute to Helm's writing than Reynolds' stirring soulful interlude.
I do believe Levon, Richard, Rick and the rest of The Band would be proud
Robbie wrote The Weight.
@@garryr486 took writing credit. Stole the money from his "brothers".
He's a horrible person. Horrible.
Swell cover. Huge talent on that stage.
It was, and you wouldn't believe how many people didn't get it!
Dave doesn't know what to do with his hands when he's not holding a guitar.
he dont need do nothing with your hands he have do with your mouth, and he does a lot...
@@Brandon-w6y jesus!!!!
congrats Warren
right on
You tube is my only friend...love of music is all that keeps me from just checking the fuck out
at 719 i dont think jeolous i think stoned and LOVING IT !!!!!
loving the Tupelo Honey reference..
Dave without his guitar reminds me of a shy Eddie Vedder :p. Dave needs his guitar to hold on to.
Indeed
I have the same problem = /
@smasher69 It means go to 'head' which is the main part of the song or the chorus
with my man Ron Holloway on SAX!!
@smasher69 i think its cue for band to come back in to finish the song from the last chorus.
Aaaaah,,, love me some Alecia,,,,,,,
Paul Goldstone yesssssss!

John Santangelo yea Dave took a risk there and then hit the eject button midway through lol
@WilliamsBallMusic That's Tim
More ten years doped wih the cover Cortez the Killer (W. Haynes with Dave Matthews Band live ) with high risk overdose
Holy shit... Need to change my pants... too much... Awesome...
Got to Love Dave Matthews, when he is killing it with other bands he is truly enjoying himself. Camera work junk
and Ronny Holloway on Sax!!
thats epic lol, i love when that little kid plays with david!!! lol
...Tim Reynolds....a guitar god.
Is that Alicia Shakur?????? Nigel Hall?!
Yep. With Tedeschi Trucks Band now.
@i9ub Truth. Not a lot of people know of him, but they really should.
@WilliamsBallMusic That would be Tim Reynolds, one of the most underrated guitarists alive.
"Tiny Tim Reynolds")))))
tim ryendols?
Who`s the goddess?
FYI: His name is Helm, not Helms.
Is that Alicia Shakur??????
Weres Tim's shade's LoL
@WilliamsBallMusic - lol, yeah he does look like a little kid next to 6 foot 3 Dave, huh?
what a talent the lady is
A S rocks
hahahaha!
Alecia can sing circles around Tater Swift !!!! Better lookin too !
Awesome although Dave looks a little awks with his hands in his pockets
Who's that little kid next to Dave on the right?
what's even more awkward: Dave coming in way off-time @6:30 and crashing it.
So uncomfortable watching Dave uncomfortable. He should just be holding a guitar even if he's not playing.
@kissmusiclover I know dude, it was a joke.
lol did Dave forget the lyrics? And def agree... he's so awkward without his guitar haha
lol...i hope that was a joke!!!!
can't stand the sax player but otherwise a great rendition
