People laugh, but I have met people like this at the range...sometimes I wonder if maybe a general IQ test should be part of the paperwork...but maybe the form is the IQ test. I wish dealers would exercise discretion and just say "look man, you're too stupid to own a firearm...maybe take up axe throwing."
Look...I'm about as pro 2A as can be. But...I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to an IQ test to purchase guns if there was some hypothetical way to ensure it wouldn't be abused
@@nonpartisangunowner4524 I like the idea of receiving ones rights like voting, 2A, and so on after mandatory public service (military, emt, police, firefighting, etc). Aptitude and psychological testing beforehand would filter out the majority of the bad apples and serve as a common basis for civic life
The one that you have to leave blank after answering no to the previous one always reduces my brain cell count down to 2, and they both fight for second place
@@UA-cam_Police101that’s actually really valid I’m lucky enough to remember I was born in Roanoke Virginia since my parents beat it into my head when I was younger 😂
Actually, the 4473's for the last few years have the options: Male Female Non-binary. No kidding! I have been tempted a few times to check the "non-binary" just for laughs.
There’s always one question that they weren’t a specific way and it makes you second-guess your answer. You might know how to answer it and answer it truthfully but it’s their wording that makes you question your answer
I'm a speed demon with these now lol I still skim over the questions just to see if they change the wording at all so far it's still the same 😆 .One employee called me Forest Gump because he only walked away for what felt like a minute when I said done!
I worked at a sports store that sold guns in college & one time this guy was filling out the 4473 & looked at me and said “ convicted of domestic violence ? I mean , I have never been convicted “ I was like alrriiiiiiiiiighttyyyyy then 🙃🙃 Edit : I didn’t even finish the video before I typed that comment. That’s hilarious nvm 😂
There’s always one question that mixes me up and I had to ask what they were asking about the nice workers explained it to me so I was able to finish the wording on some of the questions could be cleared up some especially when it’s your first time filling one out the only good part was I bought 2 guns that night and only had to fill out one form or I’d be struggling
Worked at an SOT for years and I can’t tell you how infuriating this is. Working at any FFL will ensure that you lose faith in public education and literacy. I used to get fed up and tell people if you can’t figure it out I’m not selling you a gun.

I wouldn't mind publicly funded training being mandatory for anyone buying their first gun.

@@jamescarlson4605 And for driving.
race shouldn't be on gov forms. American or not American thats all that maters.
It’s more about the way you look incase you do something illegal so they have a basis to go off of🤦♂️
They prolly just wanna know for their stats
Race and ethnicity are not the same.
As someone who sells guns, the number of grown men that don't know what "proceed" means is concerning.

YES! Every darn time because of their wording
I've filled out a number of them, but there's still one line that i have trouble remembering how to fill it out lol
It's the male or female one isn't it, stumps me 😅
@JacobBitner lol, it's the place of birth for me

@@grigorirasputin5020you’re telling me there’s only 3 options? There isn’t a blank line where I can tell them in an attack helicopter??

How dare the ATF assume we're either male or female. Such bigots 😂

I ask if they updated or change any questions on the 4473 before I start filling them out. They will say you need to read or it's the same
Yeah that's going to be a denial of sale
Question 21.A had me confused af I spent dam near 10 minutes on that one question
Glad I’m not the only one 😂😂😂
And thanks to a couple of RINOs we have 21b and 21c
If your not smart enough to fill the form out, you don't need it. Including your sandwich order...
My drug habits identify as "mostly non habitual" 🤙🏼

We have had 3 customers over my 5 years who couldn’t spell their own name without having their drivers license in front of them.
Yup, identify thieves sometimes use it to buy guns.
I've gone into shops and the guys literally be like you put down yes yes and no no here on the these lines
Ethnicity is culture, not race. Just saying 🍻
i hate when people put their birthday in certification date😂
So no dinner 😥
I’m Hispanic but I have to put Caucasian when I do it so I think that part is a little confusing
Just mark down Binary.
Or like my street name ? 😅
I asked about having a residential and permanent address and the dude at academy wouldn't sell it to me
It's not domestic abuse if you take a breath and walk away
Is the customer being serious, or are they just trying to be funny?
