Konecranes electric drive pays off

Icelandic global-logistics group Eimskip enjoys the sustainability, productivity and cost benefits of Konecranes electric drives. They mainly operate their Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbour Cranes with renewable electricity form the harbor mains. This enables larger maintenance intervals and lowers service costs by some 15%, as the price of electricity in Iceland is 25% percent lower than that of diesel applied for the same use.
