Never understood this outfit. 2nd ID unit under the 7th ID? Who thought this one up? A division HQs with no division.

Thery are currently assigned to 7th ID, which is in the U.S.
But they are originally under 2nd ID, which is currently in South Korea.
It's because of 'modulization of the army', which is more flexible for joining combat in any area in the Earth.
