Well done! And Le Mans, no less! There should be a medal for stuff like this! I suppose "nursing" is the appropriate Cortina term for "cruising". Six litres of oil... I have this little book from the 70s, called "Tuning 4-cylinder Fords". Oddly enough, it does not cover crank pressure problems and how to solve them. I tried lots of tricks and hoses and catch tank options, but ended up reverting to a stock 1500GT in the end. Just did a 500 mile trip in Noriaki (vid on my channel). Car came straight out of 20 months of storage. Engine was rebuilt with the wrong parts before my ownership. Hardly any pulling power btw 3500 and 5000 rpm. Imagine a relaxed family car up to 3500 rpm, then a moped in the mid range and a full, roaring express train above 5000. Takes some getting used to! Anyway, we pulled it off (and it was sometimes even good fun). Those stressful moments makes you burn off pints of adrenaline, but I suppose that's part of the reason why we are into this hobby. Keep up the excellent work! 👍💪
looks like a great time you had, tina looks well with the chequered roof, and not a lot of work to do after the long trip.
