O boom dos emergentes na primeira década de 2000, puxado por preços de commodities e investimento estrangeiro, terminou na maioria dos países em desenvolvimento de forma melancólica. O Brasil faz parte do pacote...

@ 10:22 USA was also a multi ethnic society but they all become American (or French in France, etc) when melting pot worked. Some societies or regions in USA still do not have equal opportunity or lack of resources to prosper so does Turkey.
FYI, ethnic groups in Turkey were not subject segregation, both in economic activities and public life in general; i.e. Turks did not have restricted spaces for people of color or restriction in manufacturing, services, professions, etc. We call everyone Turk when they are a citizen of Turkey regardless of their ethnic background and they can keep their identity in most cases, just ask James Baldwin who lived in Turkey for years when people of color were suffering in US.

@@zahithunerli3963 Ask him what? He is Armenian and he never denies it. Daron Acemoğlu was born in Istanbul, to Armenian parents. He is the only child of Kevork Acemoglu (1938−1988), a commercial lawyer and lecturer at Istanbul University, and Irma Acemoglu, principal of Aramyan Uncuyan, an Armenian school in the Kadıköy. He attended an Armenian school in Istanbul and after that graduated from Galatasaray High School.

@@Mourad1m hahaha you obviously dont understand how it works. If he was born in Istanbul, he is Turkish. In Turkey, we dont care about peoples ethnic background. Everyone who is born there or chooses to live there can all themselves Turkish or Turk. Stop being a racist.
