If the farmer can use the straw for something, but it has to be clean - for whatever reason - then he will chop the verges because they are full of grass and weeds.
So how do you efficiently harvest waterway & ditch-fed irrigated rice fields...??? 🤔 It's a precise & well thought-out system of farming that doesn't produce any benefits when upscaled to larger fields, particularly on the distribution, supply & control of water.
These are tiny fields, there's not much to save time on, & also most Japanese farmers will harvest & cart themselves using their own K-trucks or small pickups... they're not going for flat-out record production harvesting times...
Neither Deere nor Case make rubber-tracked rice harvesters & there is no network of small, waterway-fed irrigated rice fields in America...so buy Kubota just like in the video, or Iseki or Yanmar brands 👌
@@_Ben4810 Having a wider head. But since I know nothing about Kubota harvesting equipment, they might not make a wider head. But with this width, it makes it slow.
