    Series: Dickinson's Real Deal
    Episode: Series 8 Episode 64
    Location: Bangor, North Wales
A trio of antique dealers decide whether or not to make offers for people's possessions or allow the owners to take a risk at auction.
Welcome to Dickinson's Real Deal. Dickinson: the flamboyant antique expert helps the public make the most money from their old antiques. Are today's guests about to produce big windfalls or big busts? Find out!
The challenge is how to get the best deal. Contestants meet the dealers who offer cash for an item. Always have to chuckle at Debbie & Janice's tactics of not buying anything over £20. 'am I that far away ?' they ask as they offer another £10 & expect the seller to cave in at such a vast increase.

For that amount of money they should have gone back to the regiment, my grandfather who was awarded the same medals left his to my father and they now reside at the New zealand Army museam along with his pay book where they are treated with the respect they deserve.

That 89 year old is in nearly every episode! They've no shame in how many times they roll out the same performers!

The problem with WW1 medals is from them their is no indication of what campaigns the bearer of the medals served in . In WW2 there was the Desert Star Africa Star Italy Star France and Germany Star Air Crew Europe Star Atlantic Star Burma Star Pacific Star

Surprised he didn't spot the error on the War Medal and Victory Medal. They have their ribbons transposed. Also they are NOT both Victory medals. The silver medal is the War Medal and the bronze medal is the Victory medal. Considering the lot also contained his RA badges and a good photo, the offer was derisory at less than half their 'value'.

I'm sorry but there is no matter of money on earth that would sell any world w1+2 medals known what they all went through sometimes it's for few hundred pounds only. I couldn't live with myself surely you have keep passing them down line that's my opinion anyway. Wow £40 sold it don't matter to me if was distant relative they deserve there medals not be sold I personally would like all ww1+2 medals to be in museum for kids to look at that's only reason I'd let them out my hands

Mark, 100%.. don't think anyone has a moral right to sell inherited medals, I think it's wrong, and disrespectfull. Making 40 quid of someone's war service, if she had kids starving only...

First David will cajole the naive seller to go to auction and on the day of the auction he will put the onus of not accpeting the dealer's money and blame them.

A full sovereign 22 carat gold less than £200 "really".
