  • This video shows how to save the scope waveforms data to workspace and plot them to save as .fig files. This is very useful for writing reports and papers.
By saving scope data as .fig files you will have lots of flexibility such as changing the line shape, line width, axis labels, legends, fonts, etc as you wish anytime you want.
There are some differences in saving the scope data for different versions of MATLAB you are using. in This video both 2017 and 2020 versions are shown.
If you have lots of figures to plot or export to your paper/report, then it is advised to save all the required scope data (waveforms) to workspace and plot them using m file. Then you can easily set the setting and formatting for one of the figures and then copy it (apply) to all the figures easily. Therefore, you all your figures will have the same format.

    thank you so much.
actually, I have a question regarding this. I have to compare two algorithms performances in the same figure how can I do that ?? when I urn algorithm the results pop as a figure and the same for another algorithm.

    thank you!
I want to make an animated plot of scopes. can I do it the same way as you?
