    Where did you buy the first book, the green one?

      The Kinokuniya in Shinjuku has them in the travel section (which used to be in the back of the 1st floor hallway, but is now in the back of the 4th floor after the Suica merch as of Feb 2023).

      Book Compass in Tokyo Station's Gransta (B1) has them as well
      I believe Honto affiliated bookstores like Maruzen may be a better bet in some other cities like Kyoto

      @@khord Thank you!!!! Everywhere I search people talk about the stamps and not the book! LOL! Tokyo Station and Shinjuku Station will be two places that I will be visiting so I'm bound to find one! Thank you again!

      @@mikewong1668 No problem, happy to help (this reminded me to add an eki stamp book tab to ekistamp.com ).
      Yeah it was definitely a struggle to find information on it at first, I think I only saw one blog or reddit comment that mentioned the exact Kinokuniya because not all of them have it. After I picked one up there on my first trip, it became easier to find after having the ISBN. On my second trip I just happened to stumble across Book Compass displaying them at the front of their store in Gransta, but the front featured displays rotate, so you may have to poke around inside. I uploaded a picture of what the stand looked like to their google maps listing: goo.gl/maps/K5UW8i25jfukyRpZA

    Hello. I was looking for this book. I saw that there was a new edition of the book which released on 21 December 2023. Can you tell me where can I find it?

    • @khord

      Hello, I do not live in Japan so I have not been able to get this new edition yet. However the ISBN is 9784330065236 and you can use the link below to check the stock at Kinokuniya stores. I may be back in January to look myself, but hope this helps for now.

      Some stores like Yodobashi are not selling it until Jan 12th, so maybe that is why it shows out of stock at most places

    Hi! Love seeing what you have collected. What size book do you recommend to get when collecting EKI stamps?

    • @khord
      @khord  6 місяців тому

      Hi, I recommend the kotsu stamp book pictured in the video. There is a tab on ekistamp.com with details of where to find it. I don't have a ruler on me but it is about 4 inches x 6 inches
      If you do end up using something else, any size that can fit a credit card on the page would fit every eki stamp I've come across. It should also not be made of thin paper, otherwise the stamp ink will bleep between pages

    May I know where to get the Goshuin Stamp Book?

    • @khord
      @khord  8 місяців тому +1

      They are called "goshuincho" and you can purchase them at most temples or shrines at the same area where you would get a goshuin. Just look for signs that say "御朱印". This particular one in the video is from Hie Jinja, and I got both the book and my first goshuin there since it was the first shrine I visited.
      Make sure not to stamp train stamps or other attraction stamps into the goshuincho, or it may be refused at subsequent visits to temples/shrines

    When is part 2 coming?

      In a few weeks/months probably, I have since accumulated a fair amount more, but have yet to film it and deciding if I want to hold out for 1 more trip.
