- Title: How to crochet a turban beanie
This video will teach you how to crochet a turban beanie.
I would like to ask for an apology for the confusion of this pattern, just remember that ch 2 is counted as dc...here is the pattern I've made for this turban beanie.
1: ch 2 (counted as dc), make 11 dc in magic ring. Join with sl st. (12)
2: ch 2 (counted as dc), dc on the same st, make 2dc in each st around. Join. (24)
3: ch 2 (counted as dc), 2dc. Repeat dc, 2dc around. Join. (36)
2dc means increase, making 2 dc in same st
4: ch 2 (counted as dc), dc, 2dc. Repeat *dc 2x, 2dc*. Join. (48)
Dc 2x means dc on next 2 stitches
2dc means increase, making 2 dc in same st
5: ch 2 (counted as dc), dc, dc, 2dc. Repeat *dc 3x, 2dc*. Join. (60)
6: ch 2 (counted as dc), dc 3x, 2dc. Repeat *dc 4x, 2dc*. Join. (72)
7: ch 2 (counted as dc), dc 9x, 2dc. Repeat *dc 10x, 2dc*, dc 6x on last 6 stitches. Join. (78)
8 - 9: ch 2 (counted as dc), dc in each st around. Join. (78)
10 - 15: ch 2 (counted as dc), dc in each st around on back loops only. Join. (78)
16: ch 1, crab st (doing sc backwards) in each st around. Join. (78)

Thank you for sharing this pattern. I made several of these for my mother when she lost her hair after starting chemo. She absolutely loved them although at her request I did add a couple of rows so they would better cover her ears. After I gave her the first one in one of her favorite colors, she went out and picked a bunch more colors to match her clothes.
ohhh..very much welcome! thank you...praying for strength and speedy recovery of your mom🙏
@@mhaleescrochet7713 Thank you for your kindness! Yes, we're all doing much better now!
Cute turban,, thank you for sharing tutorial , I like it
Thank you too
Wool ply and hook no plzz
Thank you for sharing this pattern ❣ Putting this on my to do list ❣ I love this 🥰 ❤❤❤
Thank you.. Have fun😍
As some people have pointed out, ch 2 is only at the beginning of every row so therefore shouldn't be in the brackets as you don't repeat it. Once I worked that out the pattern was easy to follow.
i agree, thank you so much.My apologies for the confusion.
Thank you so very much for this beautiful tutorial. Please, what size of hook should one use?
you are welcome...i used 5.5mm crochet hook but you may use / change your hook size depending on your head size
Can u explain from 8th row and following rows??plzz
Yes I can’t get it from row 8 , are there decreases ?
Can you please explain the pattern in the video without music. I need to know what you are doing in row 3. My increases do not look like yours at all! Mine look like a flat flower!
Sorry Andrea.. Row 3: (Ch 2, 2dc). Repeat, join.
Ch 2 is counted as dc, so it's a repitition of dc, 2dc on the round. I put a note in round 1 that ch 2 is counted as dc. Hope you got it. Thank you
@@mhaleescrochet7713 I’m sorry but I think that’s too many increases in each stitch on row 3. I’m sorry but I’m not going to complete the pattern. I have found a different pattern. Thank you for your response.
@@andreashumpert8696 hi Andrea could you please tell me which other crochet turban tutorial you found please. I’ve attempted the one you have had questions about and it just won’t come right for me either. I’m quite a beginner to crochet and thought it was me going wrong,so I’ve undone and re tried to do it 5 times today thinking it was my error. I then saw your comment, thank goodness I did 😊 I’m sure I would still be doing undoing and changing hook size trying to get it right. Hope you don’t mind me asking 🤗
@@angelahughes3443 Hi Angela, I understand what you're saying about this video. This is the link to the turban that I found that works for me. ua-cam.com/video/LhdCTlhCDlQ/v-deo.html
Beautiful turban but the instructions was a little confusing as everyone pointed out. In the future will you please the count of stitches at the end of each row? I needed up not completing due to not being sure how many stitches needed for the end of the rows.
just remember that ch 2 in each round is counted as dc, i think this is why it turned out different on what you've made. i've written the pattern in the description box. thank u so much
What yarn did you use? I tried using the Lion Brand Vanna’s choice (#4) but seems to not work.
Hi dear, I used naku vizon brand... Try to use a bigger hook
I hope you could put the numbers of stitches per row. It's a little confusing, not knowing how many stitches should be in there. It would act a guide so you'll know if you're making it right or dong something wrong.
Thank you, I will include it on my next videos😍
Can you explain steps 4 and beyond more clearly it is confusing me. I'm new to this and making this for my mom. The repeat and join suggests that I have to chain along with the double crochet through the whole thing. As in chain 2 then double and then double twice and then go chain again as a cycle. It doesn't look like that when you are doing it
Hi dear, hope this will give you some clarity.. Ch 2 count as dc... Round 4: ch 2, dc on next st, 2 dc on the next st, so the repetition would be: *dc, dc, 2dc on the same st*. Just repeat from *to *
For round 5: ch 2, dc, dc, 2dc. Just repeat on the rounds: dc, dc, dc, 2dc...
Goes the same with the following rounds, just remember that chain 2 count as dc
Thank u
This was so confusing after a few rows. Stitch counts weren’t adding up. Then once it went to 9dc I was totally confused
Hi Jessica! Try to use stitch marker and count the stitches after each round so you won't be confused. Thank you 😍
@@mhaleescrochet7713 thank you for replying. When you said 9 double crochet and 15 dc , what did you mean ? Dc9 and then skip a stitch then 9 more - repeat- I just wasn’t clear on the directions. Thank you
I don't understand row7. Please explain.
round 7: ch 2 (counted as dc), dc 9x, 2dc. Repeat *dc 10x, 2dc*, dc 6x. Join. (total of 78 stitches)
dc 9x means dc on next 9 stitches
2dc means 2dc on the same st
dc 10x means dc on next 10 stitches
Could you pls explain from row 8? Mine is becoming too big and wide
Round 8 is dc around dear...
same with round 9...rounds 8 - 9 are both dc around
Decided to try this...to be clear rounds 2 and 3 are both 2 dc in each stitch around?
For round 2 - 2dc in each st around
For round 3 - (dc, 2dc)...ch 2 there count as dc
Thank you!
@@mhaleescrochet7713 thanks I already improvised and finished it
Question? Somehow I miss a row if the 2nd row is 2dc and the 3rd is 1dc, 2dc, and I don’t end up with enough stitches for the row with 10 dc, 2dc. Not sure where the extra row comes from.
Very cute turban however, the instructions don’t seem to be clear. I ended up with a huge doily for a hat that looks nothing like what you completed.
Thanks dear, just remember that ch 2 in each round is counted as dc st. I've written the pattern in the description box so you won't be confused. thank you so much😍
Hello Mahlee: thank you for sharing this pattern, it is beautiful. I would really appreciate for future patterns if you can go at a slower pace and use a lighter colour yarn , also if you can let us know the name of the yarn and the needle size. This is a very beautiful pattern you have created and I thank you very much for sharing it. I find following the video at times was very confusing, however I got through it with the questions asked and your replies. Thanks again and looking forward to more of your videos. God bless you.
Thank you for your time and for the comment! i know i have many flaws, corrections and adjustments with my previous videos and i appreciate your comments and inputs, it will help a lot in improving my future videos. God bless you
Thank you looking forward to your other videos I really do love this one I have made one so far and will be making more of it since it is so beautiful. Take care and blessings to you always.
▪︎Please tell us what size hook you are using? ▪︎can you please stop & show the work you have completed for each round ▪︎with the number of stitches for each ending round? Thank You!🙃🙂
I am stuck on round 7: the stitch count does not add up correctly. HELP please!
Round 7: *dc in 10 stitches, 2dc on next st*. Repeat from *to*
Which millimeter hook, please?
Hi dear.. I used 5mm crochet hook😍
How many stitches total? I just want to make sure I did right. It is coming up huge
Hi samira! Start with 12dc in magic ring. Sometimes it depends on yarn size and crochet hook size that you use which makes it big
@@mhaleescrochet7713 yes, I start with 12, but do you know how many in end?
Dear, this is for adult right?
How if I want to make baby turban, how to change the count?
Yes dear, this one is for adult. This is the one for baby 0 to 6mos ua-cam.com/video/9R89Cf0oSIM/v-deo.html
What about 2year old
I can't get row even right no matter how many times I try.
On which round specifically?
@@mhaleescrochet7713 Row seven
Tried it again and again ended up with five stitches instead of ten
The ch 2 at the beginning of each row is counted as 1 dc. On R7, instead of doing (10x dc, dc inc), do (11x dc, dc inc)x6. This will add up nicely from R6: 72 st to R7: 78 st. Hope this helps.
It's a bit confusing becoz of the color of the yarn. Maybe you can repeat this a bit slower and lighter color of yarn. Thank you.
You can just adjust the speed of the video in settings
Niezbyt dokładnie pokazane
Yarn colour is too dark can't see the stitches use light colours when doing tutorials
Thanks so much for the feedback amu. I will do it next time 😍
Kya bakwaas cap stiches bhi nahi dish rahe
