Homecoming is a music project dedicated to discovering and sharing profound faith stories within the AAPI community. Encompassing a diverse range of musical styles, embracing both worship-centric and thoughtful story-telling expression. Homecoming seeks to explore into how the AAPI community's rich cultures and lived experiences intersect with and shape the Christian faith. By gathering AAPI artists, songwriters, and creatives, Homecoming is constructing a repertoire of songs that narrate faith journeys from unique third-culture viewpoints.
Homecoming debuts in May 2024 with 'Big Enough,' a song of lament that explores faith amidst grief. Featuring James Paek (Alter Ego, Common Hymnal), John Jin Han (Isla Vista), and Maharaysi (The Voice), this debut release sets the stage for Homecoming’s honest unearthing of the dignity of AAPI stories through art. Contributors include Maryanne J. George (Maverick City), Daniel Chae (Zach Bryan, Run River North), Jae Chong (Solid, Asian Pop Award-Winning Songwriter and Producer), and John Jin Han (Isla Vista Worship), among others.
